"Tout y etait . Nous avons ptis possession des lieux yres rapidement. Nous nous sommes détendus dans la piscine au fur et à mesure des arrivées. Les journées secsont déroulées merveilleuses bien (piscine barbecue, football, boules, soirées dansantes et egalement visite à la ferme pour les petits et vélos rails pour les plus grands). De plus la météo nous a été favorable d'où quelque coups de soleil. A conseiller pour des retrouvailles en famille."

"In the middle of the countryside but with shops only a short drive away, it was the perfect setting for a family holiday. We very much enjoyed our stay which was very relaxing and our al-fresco meals were an absolute delight. It is well equiped and we were able to prepare meals without difficulty and no shortage of utensils, pots and pans etc. The downside is that the property is in need on both a deep clean and some basic maintenance. "There were a number of broken items at the property, outdoor chairs, sun bed, table, glass porch area. Both showers drained very poorly- one was incredibly blocked & we had to clean this out. The strict rules for the property- all breakages would be 30 Euros, felt unfair due to the already damaged furniture in arrival. We certainly left the house in a cleaner state than when we arrived too. The house itself was a large beautiful property, just needed a bit of TLC"

" We stayed at this hotel for one night in August and had a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The couple managing the property were attentive and extremely helpful. The hotel is conveniently located within a short and pleasant walk to the city center. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the hotel’s garden."

Beautiful and special property

"We were all buzzing around with excitement at this property when we arrived. The kids thought it was incredible! It's such an old building, full of history and not spoiled in its renovation, it was still so characterful. The kids loved that we restricted the flow of the water at night to quieten it down, and then released it every morning - we got lucky as the water wheel does not always turn but we got some movement out of it! The house is rustic, and not full of mod-cons, but it had pretty much everything we needed. The outside eating area was lovely for bbqs, and the garden lovely and big for games. The house has a lovely mezzanine library level at the top that the kids enjoyed relaxing in. We really enjoyed visiting Guedelon, a castle that is being built from scratch in medieval style, using only crafts and skills from that period in history, it was truly a fabulous day out. Lovely villages to visit in the area are Vezelay, a very pretty and ancient village up on a hilltop, and we also loved Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines with its castle overlooking the village with the river and waterways routed all through the streets. So pretty. It's a drive to a shop or Patisserie from the house and unfortunately the patisserie was shut for the week we were there, but the supermarket in Varzy had everything we needed. We also visited Clemecy a couple of times to explore the shops and old buildings, and watch the boats going through the canal locks. Thank you for a wonderful week. "
