"Cheeky night away after a stressful couple of weeks. Couldn't have been better. Friendly staff, excellent food and drinks, and an amazing room. Decor recently updated and absolutely fantastic on all fronts. Cannot recommend this place highly enough."
"Room was cold on arrival, but soon warmed up with the electric radiator we plugged in. Staff were attentive, and breakfast was good. Nice choice of cereal/toast followed by a freshly ordered full English breakfast. Great location, comfy bed and bedding, would certainly return in the future! Great value for money. "
"Wonderful accommodations in a lovely room overlooking the local church and town square. Two doors from "Skeldale House" and amazing breakfasts. Would definitely return if the opportunity arises. "
"A lovely hotel, more comfortable than I expected for the price
Highlights are good, drinks, service, friendliness, bar and restaurant areas and general cleanliness
They seem to be working on refurbs and my rooms bed was a little uncomfortable "
"Friendly and lovely place. Our room was small but it had everything we needed. Jo kindly left us croissants and yogurts for the morning and was very flexible with check-in. Askrigg is a beautiful village. It’s certainly worth a visit if you are a fan of James Harriott!"
"Everything you could wish for in a B and B. Wonderful hosts, lovely room with fluffy towels and a superb breakfast. Local ingredients were fab. Can’t recommend highly enough "
"Amazing location. Clean and comfy room. Fridge on landing where we could keep fresh dog food and milk, they can be noisy in the room so great idea. Needs to update to a decent coffee machine if the sign outside says ‘coffee house’. Only filter served and not very nice. Some really lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely come back. 9/10"
"Great hotel in a nice village. Decor is very good which gives the place a luxury feel. Staff were particularly pleasant and helpful and breakfast was great."
