We stayed in the “White Room” which was the size of our previous 2-3 accommodations put together where quality and cleanliness of the room could not be faulted. Very short walk to the town centre and one of the fascinating local sunken gardens. The town itself lacked a good variety of restaurants and many closed as both Sunday and Australia Day. "Coober Pedy's scorching summer heat was no match for the cool comfort of our underground dugout! At a steady 23 degrees, it was a welcome respite from the blistering temperatures outside. Despite a sudden flash flood that swept through the town, our elevated dugout remained completely unaffected. While the first and last occasion were out of their control, they were aware of an issue on the middle day and did not take the time to contact us and alert us to the issue. Given the boutique nature of this hotel, the lack of service ethos was astounding. "
