I booked this property 8 months in advance. The day of check in came and I still didn’t have any check in information. I messaged the host and got no answer. I called the number provided and was asked to wait 10 minutes so he could check on it. I then got an email saying that my reservation was cancelled (30 minutes before my check in), that the owner had sold the home and VRBO was to notify me but they didn’t. I tried calling the number back and I was blocked. I contacted VRBO and was told this was an unacceptable cancellation and they offered to help me find somewhere to stay. Oh, I also looked up the property and it was not sold, so I was also lied to. Hoping to save others the disaster I had to go through.
