Great Getaway
This place was just what we were looking for for our weekend away! The space was very clean and homey. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning to enjoy the view and watch the blue jays. This place is also a short drive from Big Meadow Reservoir which was SO beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Well-apoointed cozy cabin with great view
Loved the location, view and appointments at this cabin. Easy access to Hwy 160 and close to Wolf Creek Ski area. Clean and well-stocked with plenty of towels, basic amenities (like TP, dishwashing tabs, etc.) and the woodburning stove and hot tub are great perks. Beds were comfortable and central heat was appreciated during the cold week. Would stay again!

The Ponderosa
We recently rented the Ponderosa. The location was great! There was a pond and access to the river in walking distance. The pond had two peddle boats. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen needs a facelift. We took food to cook, relax and enjoy the cabin I expected better pots and pans. I get that it is a rental, but for the price, it should have better cooking accessories. Other than the kitchen, it was a great place to stay.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Nice place, misleading description, mice problem
Cabin itself was nice. Backs to the highway (maybe 100ft away) so you'll hear cars and exhaust breaking all night. Storage container and trailer full of broken garbage right up against the cabin, and a mouse problem that definitely needs addressed. Bed sheets had moose droppings on them, came back from a day out to moose droppings on the kitchen counter, then started seeing them running around the kitchen/living room. Run by a third party company so you get a pretty veiled service experience that's obviously AI based.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Terrible communication
I left my laptop there on accident (yes it’s my fault) reached out to Vasca, they could not give me any update on whether it was found or shipped back or what. Finally one day my computer shows up in a package, screen shattered from not shipping properly even after I offered to pay for fragile shipping, and it’s been over a month now and no one has reached out or been able to give me any information on whether the shipper purchased insurance. I’ve been asking them daily for months on an update about what to do and no one can tell me anything. HORRIBLE communication and the pictures are very deceptive. There is no little creek right in front of the property. It’s a grown up creek with grass everywhere, and we killed 2 snakes right in front of the cabin from that little grown up creek! It barely had water in it.

Cute cabin misleading location
The cabin was cute very comfortable! The description and pictures make it looks secluded which it is not. It is right next to other cabins we were very disappointed to show up to basically a cabin “campground”. Also, the pictures show a pond right in front of the entrance. While there is a pond it is on the back side on the cabin and cannot be seen from the cabin. The pots and pans were subpar. Outside the back door to the cabin was a porta potty, conex box, and a bunch of random junk on a trailer. Very unflattering. While the cabin inside was cute and clean we didn’t spend as much time there as we had planned. We were really hoping for a quite secluded vacation which this cabin failed to offer.

Family Ski Trip
Family of 6 … - GREAT LOCATION for Wolf Creek Ski Area - Plenty of room for sleeping purposes, however, the living room area and table do not accommodate 6 people - There is only one TV, which is on the smaller side, for the entire cabin - makes it nice to spend family time together, but a couple of people have to lay on the floor to make this possible - Hot tub is nice after skiing with more than enough towels for everyone - Kitchen accessories were sufficient for our meals - “Starter” items were provided; we had to purchase additional toilet paper and paper towels - Laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, and firewood were provided; YOU WILL NEED A LIGHTER THOUGH! - My family never had a problem with noise as far as being closer to the main road going into South Fork - Enough space out front for the kids to play in the snow *Overall, our stay was great, but I do feel like it was more expensive than what it should’ve been*

Will not be back.
First of the property is NOT secluded at all you are in the middle of a mobile home campground. The “river/pond” in front is nothing but moss and dirty. The BIGGEST issue we had was some random guy walking around the property around 3am woke up to trash on our deck and all in the fireplace. We were SO thankful it was our last night. To top it off we reached out to the “host” which is really just a company and they thanked us for letting us know. No refund no offer to make things right. Nothing. Very disappointed.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Not what it appears to be
The picture of this property looks great. However it is misleading. Here are my reasons: 1, We were told that it took 2 days to clean property, however the floors were dirty, ceiling fans dirty, mouse poison under night stand and in closet (had an infant crawler in the house), screen door didn't have a good closure so it slammed, goose droppings were so thick outside that you couldn't avoid it, port a potty in the backyard, coffee table was so wobbly, back deck missing railing. I'm a positive person, but this was disappointing to me, and to my family. Thanks for the opportunity to express my concerns.

Ponderosa in south fork
Overall a pleasant place to stay for a few nights. The little cabin was clean and cozy. The down side is the traffic on Wolf Creek pass can be heard inside the cabin. There is a black widow living under the wood burning stove. The bathtub is very slow to drain. I would book this for a weekend getaway again.

Great Cabin
This was the cleanest vacation rental we've ever experienced after years of using VRBO we are sold now with Vacassa. The location is in the beautiful South Fork of the Rio Grande Canyon and strategically located accessing Unlimited outdoor sport activities for the whole family. The home is comfortable for four people if you're going to do any hangout time in it because the living room TV area really can't accommodate more than four people comfortably. The bedrooms are immensely spacious and well kept all the appliances are in working order (which is relatively rare in vacation rentals! One previous reviewer was upset as there's a storage unit visible from the back door and a porta potty next to it but it's clearly a well maintained storage area between the cabin and Highway 160 and doesn't reduce the aesthetic in my opinion for anything as you're going to spend your time going out the front door hanging around on the front porch and who wants to watch cars drive by from the back porch? Our experience with the rental staff was extremely easy with all facets of check in and check out.
