Secluded cabin on private peninsula

Lighthouse point is surrounded by water with your own private sandy beach. Its open floor plan allows your group to spread out throughout the house. Private peninsula featuring a walking trail to the point. There is enough parking space for up to 6 cars. This property is featured by Chartered Rentals in Annandale, MN. Chartered Rentals offers one stop shopping. We have several lake homes for rent and offer dockside delivery with boat rentals and more. Lighthouse point has multiple docks for boats, fishing, and swimming. Lake Sylvia offers 20+ foot water clarity and is known for great pan fish, Largemouth bass, and elusive walleye. The DNR stocks the lake for walleyes. The walleyes in Lake Sylvia can be a challenge to catch with the water clarity being so clear you need to fish them 30-50 ft to get them but, when you hook into one most likely its 23+ inches. The sunfish, bass and crappies are easy to catch from the docks. Long weekend at the lake
Our family rented the cabin for a long weekend getaway. We were delightfully surprised by the size and private location of the property. We enjoyed the crystal clear water, water toys, and well appointed home. Highly recommend this getaway.

The Charter Rentals team was very easy to work with including dockside delivery of the pontoon. The cabin is very unique and the location is unbelievable, beyond words. We'll be booking the Light House again!

Would I rent again? YES. Neat property.
Would I recommend and/or rent again: YES. Absolutely. Dates: 2/2022 Adults: 2 The Awesome: Really cool property. Amazing location. Very clean. Excess of cookware/plates/utensils, hygiene products (shampoo, lotion, etc.), towels; many creature comforts. Tons of windows/light/seating. TONS of toys (for small children), and board games (all ages), Playstation 2 (didn't test PS2). Neat decor/antiques. 2 refrigerators. Garbage disposal. Lake access. Not so Awesome: Contract required. The posting did not reveal the contract requirement. I inquired with VRBO support, rep stated that contracts are common but it absolutely should be revealed in the posting (prior to purchase/payment). Large deposit. Language in contract (re: the damage deposit) is extremely biased. Renter must agree to not dispute ANY charges deemed necessary by the Lessor: "Upon any damages to the property the Authorized funds shall be captured immediately. Lessee agrees to not dispute any captured funds due to damaged property by signing this agreement." Each of the king beds are actually two small beds pushed together and they are FIRM. However, they don't sag and I'd rather have a firm, supportive bed than a saggy bed. Not the greatest night of sleep. Pool table was unusable. Every cue was broken, none had tips. Slash in table fabric. Electronic dart board was unusable. No usable darts, only a coffee can of broken dart pieces provided. No power outlet remotely close to area. Around 1/4 of lightbulbs upstairs either missing or burnt out. Would it be TOO bright w/all lit bulbs? Maybe but not likely. Regardless, burnt or missing bulbs is not a good look. There was an excess of ancient/irrelevant remote controls for either outdated (VCR) or nonpresent equipment. Many were unusable due to missing/broken battery cover and missing batteries. TV in master (remote) was unusable. TV downstairs unusable (no relevant remote, I searched everywhere). Soundbar (upstairs) TV volume remote broken/unusable. Only 2 smoke detectors; 1 in hallway near upstairs bedrooms, 1 in downstairs gameroom. Not sure what code requires but IMHO, 2 is insufficient for a property this size. Refrigerate upstairs is loud. Wifi router in very poor location which made Netflix and phones painful (at times) to use. With relatively little effort/cost these things can be fixed but only if mgmt is made aware by guests (like you/me). If I had kids, they'd have been very disappointed by the gameroom: pool table/dartboard/TV.

Loved the space!
It was a great cabin to be for the weekend. I loved that it was very secluded and you had the whole island to yourself. We all loved wandering around and being surrounded by water. The kids enjoyed being able to fish nearby. The house was also spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed. We even went to the cutest little pumpkin patch/apple orchard near by.

Simply AMAZING
Check in was a breeze and communication with the property manager Josh was awesome, you really couldn't ask for a more attentive host. The home itself was nothing short of amazing. You are literally surrounded by water and breath taking views. I can not wait to come back and bring the whole family once the weather warms up and we can use the lake.
