"This stay was good, my second stay here. For me it is well positioned close to a gym and public transport. Room was ok, quite small this time around, TV has his own mind, luckily i don`t need it. Breakfast is alright, could be much better with a bit more variety (breakfast is quite important for me)."

"The checkin was ok but since I was 1.5h early I could not enter the room and storing my luggage was 4eur so they told me I could have lunch in the meantime. So I did but after ordering they told me I should move to another area because there was an event starting. So I did and then a big group of people did check in so o asked and they checked me in. "Stood here for one night to explore Marseille, it was a perfect location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great and quiet. The building gives you the feel you’re looking for and I love that you can rent lockers after checking out ! "

"This stay was annoying. They didnt have towels, and the front desk was horrible with bad service (there eere 2 dark haired men (one with short hair one with long hair), 1 woman, and french guy with short hair. The woman and french guy were very nice. The other two said things like "nope, dont have towels" and thats it. Or "this is a hotel not a hostel" when i told them there was no water. "Location location location! I loved my stay at the Central Hostel. The staff were super nice and helpful and the location is truly central and very walkable. I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm for the first time and the blackout blinds were a gamechanger for me. Other than a microwave there's no kitchen but there're an Aldi and Carrefour nearby which is super helpful. "Stayed in a private room, very clean. Nice shared dining area with kitchen. Cute seating area as shown in pictures. Clothes washing facilities were by staff only and cost €15. Had noisy construction outside when we stayed and could hear lots of door slamming. Overall really nice place "

"I’m not sure why there are bad reviews for this property. Especially since the price is budget friendly. The neighborhood is quiet with views of the mountains/hills. You have to have a key fob to get onto the property as the grounds are gated. The hostel is clean, and the staff is friendly. This was my fourth time in Marseille, and my first time in the 12th Arrondissement. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for hosting Bum Bum Jones and I! "

"A decent hostel for the price l paid. Very convenient location for transport links, trains buses and trams. Stayed in female 6 bed dorm but never full. Shower and toilet in room was good. Kitchen was small but manageable but might struggle when hostel full. Nice seating area outside and use if a washing line too. Staff very helpful and friendly and communication good. If it could be a bit cleaner it would be a big improvement but despite this l would definitely stay again "
