"One of my family members was sick so we decided to stay an additional night. The day before I went to the hotel's reception and asked to book the additional night. They said they couldn't do it directly and suggested using a website. I tried booking the additional night through the hotel website but it was not working, so I ended up booking it through Hotels.com. The next day when I visited the reception to make sure the reservation was extended, the lady mentioned I needed to do the check out...

"Barraco Lodge is amazing! The views of lake/river/mountains are majestic - during my 5-day stay, I never tired of looking at the changing landscape. The food was excellent. "This is such a great, cosy place with wonderful, friendly staff. We ended up here at the last minute due to other lodging falling through, and they were super accomodating, getting us checked in early. The rooms are a good size with charming wood-trunk & plank furniture, and the bathrooms are super modern and up to date. The rooms have lovely views of the water (we started in one and shifted to the bigger room on our 2nd night). The breakfast was robust and they serve dinner if you don't...

"The service level at this hotel is terrible. Don’t be deceived with the beautiful surrounding forests and the well marketed architecture. There is almost no service. The staff is like floating clueless ghosts and everywhere in the hotel is freezing. The food is also terrible. Nawelpi is certainly not a 5 star hotel. I’d like to meet the person who gave 5 stars to this hotel. At best it’s 3 stars. The indifferent attitude of the staff is unforgivable. In the room, almost nothing works. "
