"Mooi en nieuw chalet. Was brandschoon en aangenaam warm. Uitzicht is prachtig, zeker tijdens het ochtendgloren. We zaten in 10A. Hottub was koud bij aankomst en pas op temperatuur aan het einde van de avond. We hadden ook geen warm water. De volgende ochtend was alles warm. "

"The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. The kitchen has a small fridge and a stovetop, and the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water (WiFi was also available). The view from the cabin is of a BEAUTIFUL Icelandic landscape, even in the winter; I imagine the greenery in the summer is that much more stunning. The only...

"Loved the place! Super great location and setup. I was disappointed not all the bed had sheets and they forgot to give us a crib. Owner was quick to fix it. The gate is annoying, but it is an all of Iceland thing"

"We started our Iceland holiday with first 2 nights stay at cabin 5A. I’m glad we did as it set the bar really high and at the end of our 9 day trip, the family unanimously agreed this was our favourite accommodation in the entire trip! Cabin had everything we needed, extremely clean, hosts were v responsive, and being in open lands (yet near enough to nearby towns), we were treated to 2 nights of auroras when we were there!! The hot tub brought so much joy too, can’t wait to be back! "

"More of a basic cabin than anything. No dishwasher or TV, but great place to view auroras and surrounding scenery a few km from Hofn. Beds comfortable but needs some more (or bigger) pillows."

"A perfect base camp for our visit to the Golden circle. We were able to see the Aurora Borealis 2 out of 3 nights from the hot tub. The book said hot tub would take 1-2 hours to prepare, in our experience, since it is winter and colder, it took a lot longer (4-5 hours)"
