The Bramley Apple Inn is a little jewel in Southwell.
A short walk from the Minster and located on the main street, the managers strive for a friendly relaxed atmosphere, which they achieve.
Yes it is a pub and understand that the rooms are directly above the pub, but it is an Inn not a Hotel, so it is exactly what we thought it would be.
The night we stayed there was a Karaoke on in the bar, which was great fun to watch (we didn't take part!) and judging by their events calendar, they try to out something on most evenings. Some people might find it a little on the loud side, but it really was not a problem.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything one needs for a short stay.
The 3 of us loved it - and really enjoyed our breakfast the next morning. Proper British Pub hospitality. The managers even made us some chip butties at no charge while we watched the karaoke! Don't get that in most places, do you?
