"We (family of 5) just returned from our trip to France and absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean and the entire staff was so gracious and welcoming. "Once you're in the room, its very clean and has everything you need. But the exterior is off-putting with a fence around the facility and only one way in/out. We made the mistake of staying several nights thinking the location would be convenient, but working with the limitations of the autoroute was challenging... either using the help button and paying a high toll or taking a long path around and needing to walk through several gates and around the building to get to the room."

"Quick one night stop over on route from UK via Cherbourg to Dordogne. 2 adults 3 young kids. We booked the wooden Summerhouse/Chalet because it was more fun for the kids. We got exactly what we booked, perfect. Our host was very friendly and helpful given our poor spoken French. Woke up with the song from the birds in the woods. Breakfast was perfect, great coffee, freshly baked bread, home made jams, apricots, yoghurts and pain au chocolat."

"The door to the room creaked and did not close easily. It was unclear whether it actually locked.The mirror was cracked. The shower fittings were broken. The toilet seat was broken and only the short flush worked. The shower soap dispenser lid was missing. One of the lights just glowed. "This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!"

"The property location is fantastic, and the bed was very comfortable. As others have mentioned, the hotel is in dire need of an update. The shower was scummy and the fixture was loose so the shower head kept falling. Also the door to the shower wouldn't close properly, so showering without making a huge mess on the floor took some practice.. the wallpaper was Peking and there was mold on the walls. The staff was friendly, in my limited experience with them."
