Cute cabin
This cabin is perfect for 2-4 people. It was clean,cozy and cute. The owner stopped by a couple of times to check on us and to give needed info about the property. The front porch overlooked a creek and it was very relaxing. We would stay here again.

Great for a getaway
My wife and I loved the cabin. It was close enough to town, but was private and rural. The cabin had all that we needed and was comfortable. Close to the Blueridge Parkway, hiking, canoeing the New River and biking the Virginia Creeper Trail. We would recommend and would love to return in the future.

Great Quiet Cabin
This was the most charming little cabin tucked away on the mountain. It's very peaceful and has a great layout inside! We loved the wrap-around porch overlooking the little ravine and creek behind the cabin. The Johnsons are super sweet hosts!! Our family will definitely look to come back here for our annual trip again next summer! Thank you!

Quiet and relaxing
Neat cottage in the woods. Owners are on the property ( in another location) and very nice. Especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. A creek is on the property and can be heard from the porch. Perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed going to Sparta, never been there before. Close enough to a lot of places for hikes and antique hunting. All around, the most relaxing stay we have had in a long while. We’ll go again.

Couple getaway
This small house had plenty of room for us. The kitchen is small and compact but we were able to do what cooking we wanted to do. The bathroom is also small but we managed well. We appreciated the gift of the strawberry jam. This is not far from the town of Sparta. Even though the weather did not cooperate very well, it was nice to recharge the batteries. We would definitely consider staying here again.

What a cute little cabin! Very traditional wooden cabin with modern amenities - good wifi internet and smart TV with cable. Loved the wrap-around porch with a view of a little creek in the back. I also loved the homemade peach jam that the owner left for me. And the personal visit to check on me. And you don't need an alarm clock - the mooing cows will wake you up in the morning!

Wonderful Cozy Cabin
Excellent place to stay. We spent 3 days there for Christmas. The cabin more than adequately met our needs - two grandparents in their 60s and a teen grandchild. And the beautiful surroundings and well-equipped cabin by a running stream added more points to our overall enjoyment. The property manager was very friendly, readily available, and even provided local and homemade goodies for us to enjoy. The cabin is near mountains where you can do short hikes or just drive and enjoy the scenery. A 10 minutes' drive takes you to a very quaint downtown area with a grocery store, restaurants, and shops. And there's a wonderful winery less than 30 minutes away if you enjoy wine tasting. At the end of the day, you can sit out on the porch, relax in the swing, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. We certainly plan to go back again.

It was an absolutely beautiful place. Tucked just far enough from town. The owners were amazing !
And of course we did not know what to expect, but upon arrival, the owner had DIRECTV on site trying to get the cable working. But of course we were not interested in watching TV. It was an amazingly beautiful spot, surrounded by Christmas tree farms, and cattle. As a welcoming gift, they left homemade jam and a box of English muffins. The shower was fantastic. Along with all of the linens and towels that they provide. I cannot say enough kind things about this little cottage. We were there for a family reunion in Traphill. It was close to downtown the parkway and Stone Mountain. We will stay there again next year.

Perfect Quaint Country Getaway
I will start this review by saying I was NOT looking forward to this trip one bit. We were visiting the area for a wedding in the family, which normally would be a joyous occasion, but it was put together at the last minute and meant I had to take my daughter out of school for a day, AND drive 12+ hours there and back in one weekend. Yep, not looking forward to it one bit as I booked this house, as I packed our bags and the car, and as I wrote the note to her teacher a week before. However, as I stepped into this cabin, all of my jitters and anxieties melted away. This cabin is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape life for a minute. The owners were extremely responsive any time we asked for anything. They accommodated our “extra day” so that we could take our time to pack up and leave the following evening. It just really made the entire weekend better! I’m so grateful this place is on VRBO!!

Convenient Location to Sparta & Quiet Woodland Area
The location was convenient and the property was the perfect size for us. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and listening to the stream. It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin design and antique furniture are lovely. The linens were clean and of good quality. There were some nice touches such as the homemade jam and english muffins. There were other nice to have kitchen items and toiletries as well. The outside could use some basic cleaning (cobwebs and such) and the landscaping needed a little TLC. The most disappointing features were the mattresses and the broken sofa. We tried both beds and unfortunately neither of them were comfortable. We intended to stay three nights but left a day early due to lack of restful sleep. We would probably visit again if we knew the mattresses were replaced. The owner did say they are considering replacing them.
