    We stayed for one night and were really pleased with the property and the location set back from main roads a short walk from a lovely square with bars and restaurants. The host was polite and helpful. A short walk to the main promenade and harbour.

    The French
    Very nice and clean. There was just a friend woman screaming at her boyfriend at 8am and the walls did not block out her annoying noice. The screaming went on for no joke 1 hour then when I went to the grocery store they had a cigarette break ourisde and when I got back she was back at yelling for 20 more minutes.

    It’s very rare that I post a negative review but this place earned it. They say very clearly that they have on-site parking for 15 EUR/day. I sought out, and paid a large premium, for a place in Split with parking as parking is so limited. When we arrived we discovered that there is no parking at all. The host said onsite parking means street parking. I know Split well and getting street parking is about as likely as winning the lottery. The host said I “had the story wrong”…what does that even mean? They said in plain English that they have on-site parking to attract guests but the claim is not true. The closest parking is 500 m away and costs 48 EUR/day. Total bait and switch. It’s sort of an ok property but being mislead into thinking there was parking was very off putting.

    The room was good, and it was clean, but not as pictured in the advertisement. The booking information also said that parking was available. However, the hotel did not initially respond to a confirmation message, and we had to call prior to arrival and we were then informed that parking is not associated with the room, but is public parking along a street or parking garage 5 minutes away. The reservation should not have implied that parking is available.

    This property checked all the most important boxes I look for as a solo female traveler - it was safe, quiet (far away from the main promenade to not hear the noise, but close enough to easily walk), and clean. However, the other aspects of the property didn’t justify the cost and 4-star rating in my opinion. The room itself was very small - really just enough room for a twin bed and a small table. The bathroom didn’t have any shelving in the shower, so I had to place toiletries on the floor while showering. It also didn’t have space near the sink for toiletries, so I had to get creative. There was a slight sewage smell on and off in the bathroom. The most uncomfortable part for me was actually the bed situation. There was only a single pillow and no actual comforter. The only “blanket” on the bed was an oversized towel (terry cloth material), which wasn’t very warm. The curtains also weren’t adequate to block out the light, which is a bit of an issue in the summer when sunrise is so early and sunset so late. Another big factor when booking my room was the airport transport since I had an early flight out. The host did a good job coordinating that with the driver. Unfortunately, communication with the driver herself was a bit difficult and she ended up sending her husband to drive me which I wasn’t comfortable with for my own safety since I was originally expecting a woman. This was only communicated to me at pick up time and I opted not to take the ride.

    If you can find this place, it’s great. Very charming building, rooms very comfortable and modern, strong AC. Location is great too. Only caveat is that it is extremely hard to find, even with WiFi. I wouldn’t book unless you will have both WiFi and phone service. No one attends the house. We wouldn’t have found it had two lovely neighbors not taken pity on us and called around to all the neighbors to figure out which house it was (no names on it) and then called the proprietor who told us nonchalantly the door was open, to just let ourselves in and grab the room keys. Never saw anyone who worked there or the owner. All that said the accommodations were very charming and our stay comfortable. Just hard to find.

    If you’re staying overnight in Split then this apartment does the job but wouldn’t recommend for longer stays as small room and if you aren’t on the top floor, upstairs neighbours are INCREDIBLY LOUD. Location is good but wouldn’t return.

    We had two rooms booked. The attic room 4, which was great, and the larger ground floor room with kitchenette. They are lovely, well positioned rooms. But the larger room had broken aircon. The period exposed brickwork and no aircon meant the room was too hot and damp, making my cloths smell, and it was still 26 degrees at night in the room. The owner said it would get repaired in my two night stay, but it was not, and the owner did not respond to my last message when I said I was disappointed. Room will be great once aircon is fixed, as it will be cool and not damp.

    It is not clear if this is a legitimate business! The room was fine - basically as advertised. The thing that was awful was the service. We arrived late due to some delays and there was no one to check us in - if it weren’t for our knocking rousing another guest, we would have been locked out all night without any recourse. No one ever took our passports or the city traveler fee, and room service was NOT available every day. There is no place for baggage storage or airport transfers - those are falsely advertised. I don’t mean to pretend we didn’t enjoy our stay: it was fine. But considering the lack of any check-in, confirmation or cleaning routine, we were a bit uneasy for the duration of our stay. I’d recommend simply booking any of the numerous equally well-reviewed accommodations in the area.

    Lovely room in a great location
    Lovely room in a great location within easy walk of the old city. Had all facilities that we needed and the staff were friendly. We were 2 friends staying together and had a great time! Only minor comments is that google maps takes you to the back of the building not the entrance, the steps to access are quite narrow and step and also the AC wouldn’t stay on for long (although this might have been user error!)

    Excellent location just outside of busy/noisy part of old Town. Steps leading up to building, and more if you are on second floor. Be mindful if you have heavy luggage or health issues. Dispensers needed to be refilled with soap and shampoo but I had with me. A/c worked excellent. Fridge and kettle very useful, even some utensils.
