Visit with grandson

Stayed at the carriage house for seven days to visit with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson. It was just right convenient to restaurants. Areas was a very nice stay.

Cute Carriage House!

We loved the vibe of the Carriage House. We came to Springfield to explore all things Abe Lincoln. The property was close enough to walk to the nearby attractions in town. Easy check in process and great place to stay!

Historic Charm with Modern Convenience

We loved staying at the Carriage House. It met my family's needs perfectly and the location was close to restaurants and attractions like Lincoln's Neighborhood. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for somewhere to stay other than a hotel and be close to downtown in Springfield.

The Carriage house was perfect for our stay in Springfield. The location just blocks from Lincoln's home and neighborhood allowed gave us the opportunity to walk over and "pay him a visit". The house provided everything we needed for our stay - all the comforts of home in a beautiful historic setting.

Great Night’s Sleep

My husband & I were on our way back from a Nashville, TN vacation when we stayed in the carriage house in Springfield, IL. Check-in was easy & property owner was easy to work with. We slept great on the King size bed.

Visiting Lincoln’s Library

Very clean property! We had a wonderful time. The beds were very comfortable. Convenient to all tourist spots. On the first day we arrived, we used InstaCart to order food for our stay. Definitely would stay here again! Thank you!

Historic Gem

This house was a great location for us. We were in Springfield visiting family and it was close to everywhere we needed to be. Communication with the owner was always quick and responsive. It was a nice touch that there was coffee and creamer in the house, along with some basic spices. Everything was very clean.

The Carriage House

Great location in downtown Springfield. Walking distance to Lincoln Museum, Lincoln House and other historical sites. Many restaurants near by. House was clean. Check in was very simple. Owner communication was excellent.

Beautiful historical property with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Lovely place! My brother and I stayed just one night after a local family wedding. The bedrooms were both spacious and bedding comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee in the living room. There is also a full dining room available. Hosts communicated mostly via text and were very friendly and personable.

Searching for Lincoln

Loved the property and the location for being close to the Lincoln Memorial and home. Didn’t get how the TV worked was the only thing. I should have called the Hosts but didn’t, so my bad.

Great Location for Visiting Lincoln Sites

Everything was great with the room. Easy walking to many Lincoln attractions including the Lincoln Presidential Museum and the Lincoln Home. Well appointed kitchen - had everything we needed. Only issue was outside their control - many trains pass quite close by and they blow their whistles at every intersection all times day and night. Did impact our sleep to some extent. Otherwise everything was great.

Sleeping, not gathering

It's a great spot for sleeping and the basics. Super clean and I could tell they work to keep it in character. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great. The kitchen is great too. There's a nice big table where we were able to spread out our work for the week and still eat meals. The only things we didn't like: there isnt any comfortable seating in the living room or kitchen table. Im an avg size woman and the kitchen chairs left brusies on my backside from the cute little trim that makes them look antique. Also it definitely smells historic in there, musty. No amount of candles/air freshners could stop it. The property mgmt company was on top of things re our reservation. They stayed in touch and texted me promptly w reservations and info on how I would access the building.

Great location, walking distance to most locations. Enjoyed having the space the house provided. Check in and out was smooth, everything was as described. Staying in a historic house like this is a cool thing to do.

Charming Carriage House

The carriage house was just right to transport us back in time while we visited historical sites such as the Lincoln home.museum and the Dana Thomas Frank Lloyd Wright house. It was clean and well provisioned. Would stay there again.
