"Everything was perfect for 6 night stay. The only comment I have is that breakfast starts at 7 , this is the time when long day tours start as well. Hotel offers breakfast bag for the road , nevertheless 0630 start would be preferred. Also, selection of breakfast variety is limited, especially fruit fare. "

"This is an great small boutique hotel. It is like taking a step back in the past with a classic hotel. Built in an old mansion the rooms surround two courtyards that are open to sky. Beautiful plantings and water features make this an idyllic place to sit and have a drink. The top floor has a large sitting area, and I believe all the rooms have balconies. Service was perfect, always there when you needed it but never in the way. The hotel was spotless, and I cannot ever remember staying in a cleaner hotel in Thailand. Our room was not large but perfectly fine for the two of us. The bathroom was well appointed and everything worked well. The a/c worked fine - although one can sit in the courtyards which are not air conditioned but the temperature is delightful with natural cross ventilation. There is a very good breakfast served daily. A very classy and relaxing place to stay. We would definitely come again. One tip - pick a room with a balcony on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. It is a wonderful place to sit and have an evening drink."

"Very modern design, staff were so friendly! Located on the Sunday Night Walking Street. Pretty pool. No elevator. There was a weird, camouflaged step in our room that we kept almost injuring ourselves on. The room itself was very cute with a great balcony view of pool."

"Amazing stay at Thai Akara. The service was amazing from staff, they helped book activities for us when ever we needed! On our last day we had an early flight and they even provided us with a breakfast takeaway box. The hotel itself is clean, nice and has everything you need. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a good variety of food- they make sure they cater to vegetarians. The only slight negative was only one bedside table in a double room. We would definitely come back to this hotel as it is close to all the main attractions also."
