A high quality, modern and very well equipped self-catering accommodation. Ideally located in the ancient heart of St Andrews in a secluded walled garden, Stay here to make your time in St Andrews one to remember.

The property is situated in the conservation area, with a very short stroll to golf (6 courses), beach, historic town, Cathedral and castle, coffee shops and restaurants. Some images by dtximages

The main lounge has a stunning glass wall looking onto the private garden with an outdoor decking area with table and chairs to enjoy a meal with wine.
In addition the property has a fully equipped dining/kitchen area, 2 ensuite bedrooms each with a shower / wetroom. 1 bed is Kingsize (uk) and the other is uk double bed. Sleeps maximum 4 plus 1 child in travel cot.
A baby cot / High Chair is available on request.
There is a utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer.
Free wi-if provided.

The town has a swimming pool and leisure centre.

The bus station is about 2 minutes walk away, providing access to an excellent bus service to nearby towns and attractions.
Dundee and the V&A Scotland is a 25 minute bus journey.

Property exceeded our expectations as a “modern” stay in a beautiful old town. This stand alone guest house was clean, quiet & a wonderful place to relax after playing golf & enjoying the Dunhill. Hosts are responsive & kind. If rental is available, stay here!

Fantastic location for a golf holiday!
The apartment was perfect for my son and I. We were in St Andrews for a week to play golf. The apartment is close to all that St Andrews has to offer, including golf, restaurants, and the supermarket. Sheila and Ian were amazing hosts! When I come back to St Andrews, I hope to stay here again!

Beautiful cottage with lovely gardens
The Whins is everything you could want in a St. Andrews property. It's a perfect location to walk anywhere in town, and as it's on a pedestrian walkway, it's very quiet. The stone wall enclosed gardens were magical. The cottage was spotless and cozy, with all we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Sheila was there to greet us, and both her and Ian checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed. We thank them for their kindness, and would love to stay again!

A month in St. Andrews
The property was very clean and in a great location. We could walk to the Old Course, multiple coffee shops, the grocery store, many restaurants, a bakery, the movie theater, the ice cream store, etc. We have rebooked for next year.

Beautiful place in St. Andrews
This is for sure one of the most beautiful and convenient places to stay in St. Andrews. Everything was perfect, exactly as described. Amazing property! Sheila and Ian are fantastic hosts. Very helpful and friendly. We went to St. Andrews for our daughter’s graduation and we couldn’t have stayed anywhere better. We’re really pleased!

Secret Garden
My daughter and I LOVED our stay in the "Secret Garden". The cottage is 5 min away from golf and the beach on one side and the rest of the town on the other side. WONDERFUL location and lovely hosts. Highly recommend staying at the cottage!

We stayed for 5 nights in The Whins, the house was very clean, nicely furnished, very well equipped, everything you could need, great location, a short ,walk from St Andrews Golf course and the beach. lovely garden, with garden furniture to sit out weather permitting, would definately recommend this house. would love to return in the future. Sheila and Ian were very helpful. shops and restaurants near by. Check in was very easy Sheila met us on arrival.
