Price per night is good when compared to hotels in the area but trade off is distance from St. Augustine (about 30-40 mins depending on time of day). Close to Shoppes at Murabella where this a Publixx (excellent pharmacy which we needed to use after an unexpected Emergency Room visit for severe allergic reaction) and a good place to eat close to the accommodations (2 Creeks Bar and Grill).
Although I continually checked my vrbo inbox, the host did not provide check in information (key is kept in a lockbox by the door) until I emailed him thru vrbo the morning of the day of our arrival.
Upon arrival we were greeted (?) by a very vocal cat. He literally was meowing at me by my car door as I exited the vehicle. Then he laid down right in the doorway of the rental and wasn't going to move! We chased him off and then called the host. After expressing concerns, we were told he is their cat (not a stray) and to be sure he doesn't get into the rental and to "shush" at him to make him go. The next day, a stick was left by the front door for us to use to poke him to make him leave. He's an outdoor cat so they won't take him inside.
Couldn't bring myself to poke him so we stuck with the shushing....
A few other observations/notes:
Although I did tell the host that I was traveling with my adult son and they list the living room sofa as a sleep area, no linens were left for using that space - at least none that I could find.
Use caution in the shower - the floor is tiled with glazed tiles. I found it slippery but my son was fine with it - the difference between youth and "maturity."
The AC vent in the bedroom is directly above the head of the bed so you feel it blow directly on your head when it kicks on.
The bed is full size in case that matters for your comfort.
The water dispenser on the fridge is angled at 45 degrees or so versus straight down so use caution - I gave myself a bit of a spritz on the first go LOL
