Historic Murphy's House

This is not your ordinary vacation rental!
Our home is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in St Augustine, the Historic Abbott Tract. The Historic Murphey House is a wonderful two story house that was built between 1885 and 1894, the details set it apart from the rest. Our house features original hardwood floors throughout, antique brass chandeliers, original door hardware, beautiful antique furniture, and a claw foot tub. The centerpiece in the kitchen is a very rare and working 1926 electric stove which features two ovens, and multiple burners. All the charm of a Bed and Breakfast with an affordable price. This is your chance to experience St Augustine the way it is meant to be experienced.

We have also just finished a complete exterior renovation so please book and enjoy this special place. The house is equipped with central heat and air conditioning to keep you comfortable, and it is set up to sleep up to 6-8 people, if you have the larger group of 8, the master suite can be split into two bedrooms with a twin bed and trundle bed underneath. The kitchen is also fully equipped with all utensils, dishes, etc., dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, and a Breville Toaster oven. A full-sized Washer and Dryer are also onsite to help make your family trip a bit easier. Parking is also easy as there is an on-site driveway that can easily fit 3 mid-size cars.

Wireless internet is onsite, with internet TV devices such as ROKU available on the TVs. There is also a PlayStation and DVD player available for viewing/playing as well.

Please enjoy your stay in our wonderful home, and take in everything Saint Augustine has to offer, without worrying about parking!

This property is perfect for so many different reasons. The house is beautiful and perfectly situated near the historic district providing a short walk to the City Gate and St. George St. There is plenty of room for everyone, including parking, and has all the amenities. Christian is a fabulous host and very responsive. This was our second visit and cannot wait for the third.

So convenient, right in the middle of historic district
The historic house was in a perfect location for walking to several attractions and restaurants within the historic district. We enjoyed walking to the Old Jail, St George Street, and the hop on hop off trolley. Our host, Christian, was attentive, and the place was very clean.

Mother Daughter Weekend
What a lovely house! Our group of three stayed here on a mother daughter weekend and connected with 12 other ladies. The location is awesome and the house is great. Walkable to all of the downtown attractions. Comfy beds, great kitchen and the communication with the owner was quick and very accommodating. I would highly recommend, and I would stay here again!

Girls get a way
The house is very cute, however we couldn’t find any dish towels, there were no instructions on using the fireplace or if it worked or not. The house is very old and therefore was very cold, it took a day to get it somewhat comfortable, as we happened to book the coldest weekend of the year. It is very convenient to St. George St, and walkable to many places.

In the middle of everything.
This property is located within walking distance of everything. Trolley station is only a couple blocks down from the house if you prefer to explore the city that way. Enough parking for a full size truck and SUV. I would stay again.
