This was a wonderful B& B. Bill & Jacqui our hosts could not have done any better. Room, bed, bathroom were spotless. Breakfast great and lots of it. They take lots of pride in their home and keep everything immaculate.
Everything excellent - try the freshly baked croissants for breafast. The only negative is the steep access drive from the road as mentioned in other reviews. The hosts are very helpful and friendly - we would definitely stay there again if we return to St Austell
A lovely 6 night stay at this B&B on the outskirts of St Austell. Bill and Jacqui could not be more welcoming. A clean, comfortable room with an excellent choice on the tea tray. A good choice for breakfast, with everything cooked to order. This B&B is ideally located for a number of Cornwall's attractions.
Our room was very comfortable with an excellent en-suite bathroom. Everything you might need was available, from fresh milk to an ironing board! JacquI and Bill were excellent hosts, with the same thoughtfulness extending to the range of breakfast options, all freshly cooked from locally sourced ingredients.
Comfortable room, very comfy bed, great choice of tea, coffee and biscuits. And very good breakfast choices. Great hosts who are relatively new to the area but are quickly becoming very knowledgeable
I was made to feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable, the room & bathroom spotless. The owner Lyn was really helpful with information about local sights etc. I do not drive, so the bus system was a bit difficult to fathom. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I would definitely stay there again. It was (by the way) the only accommodation in St. Austell that provided a hair dryer to the guests.
Lyn and Richard were very welcoming and insisted on carrying our bags (a relief!). Great breakfast. Heated some food in the oven for us that we had bought. Beds comfortable, clean, many small touches for comfort, esthetics. Parking adequate but recommend approaching driveway from opposite side of the road as the entrance is rather tight.
We wanted a good base for our visit to Cornwall and that's what we got. On arrival, Lyn and Richard made us very welcome. A chocolate treat on our first night and an excellent breakfast choice each morning, plus fresh bottled water each day beside a comfy King size bed and an excellent invigorating shower each day made our stay a real pleasure.
Lovely landlady, tasty potato waffles for breakfast, and excellent home made plum jam! Very quiet neighbourhood, with sufficient drive way parking for all residents. Minutes away from Eden Project, with good pubs and restaurants ten minutes drive away.
We had the only room that is not en-suite, but as we had sole use of a large bathroom across the landing with bathrobes provided it was not a problem. Our room was at the back of the building and very quiet. Upon arrival Lynn showed us to our room, and then provided a lovely pot of tea with some homemade cake. Very welcome. The room was quite big and the bed comfy. The whole place was spotless. The breakfast was served in the dining room with two tables in the conservatory extension. There was a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, cooked items, toast, preserves and hot drinks. You can also use the dining room to eat take-aways if you wish.
It is easy to get to most places in Cornwall from this accommodation.
What a great find! There was a warm welcome from Lynn on arrival and we were impressed with the thoughtfulness that went into the room from the shower to the toiletries and to the tea/coffee/snacks provided. The fridge on the landing for guests’ use was appreciated. Breakfasts were served in the conservatory with a wide variety of yummy dishes served. Thank you for the hospitality Lynn.
