Absolutely fantastic family holiday for Easter.
Beautiful property, grandchildren loved feeding the animals. House had everything clean and comfortable. Definetley recommend stay for any one.
The house was very spacious and we enjoyed the views. The kids loved feeding the animals and spending time at the creek. The house had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful with recommendations of things to do in the local area. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable too. Our family very much enjoyed our stay here
Perched above St Helen’s, this property had it all! Panoramic views, access to a private beach and river access, cute animals (the reindeer was our favourite) and a huge clean modern house which was a home away from home. We loved everything about our stay and couldn’t recommend this property enough. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again 😊
We selected this property specifically for fishing opportunities as alluded to in the listing. No bites from any point of the river on property and only area easily accessible to the shallow river was the “beach” which is an embankment. Per host’s recommendation we drove off road (need FWD) approx 2 mi to another property access point-no fish. *We discovered Beauty Bay jetty in St Helen’s to be a wonderful fishing spot-<10 min drive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at George River Park. The home is spacious, well-equipped and comfortable with an incredible view!
Hugh and Celin were fabulous and amazing with their communication, even allowing us to check in a little early.
The property has everything you need, plus more (our children loved feeding the animals).
There is another very small BnB which is attached to the property which was occupied during our stay. Although we didn’t find it overly inhibiting, it is worth noting that you may not have complete privacy.
Thank you again to Hugh and Celin for allowing us to stay in their lovely home.
Very large home with absolutely stunning views. My six year old enjoyed running laps around the open plan living space, and the bedrooms were enough removed that everyone could sleep through her early morning hijinks. We all enjoyed feeding the animals and walking around the property. Given the bad weather during our stay we especially enjoyed the well appointed gourmet kitchen and the comfortable sitting area with Netflix on quite a large tv. The heat worked a treat as well.
This trip has been a long time in the making for us, and with COVID we rescheduled multiple times. Hugh was so patient and flexible with us, I am extremely grateful for his hospitality! With any luck, we'll be back again for some nicer weather.
Thank you very much Hugh & Celin. Beautiful Property, we are definately coming back very soon !!
Property has very thing you need, great kitchen utensils and great view from the property.
Animals around made it more pleasant and attractive.
Thanks again heaps.
With perfect Easter weather we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful ambience of life on acreage and close proximity to excellent St Helens restaurants and the Bay of Fires. Thanks Celin and Hugh - winner.
Brilliant place to base yourself while seeing the sights. Amazing property, super clean and high end. Felt very luxurious. Hugh was fantastic and very responsive. Planning our next trip down already.
The overall experience at George River Park is exceptional. We stayed here with a group of 8 friends to celebrate a wedding with a relaxing weekend away.
Picture a beautiful, big, modern and open-planned house, perched on the hill of an idyllic 100-acre block of farm land (including a whole host of animals and a private river on the property), with stunning views over St Helens, the George River and George’s Bay.
The property is totally private and secluded, inherently peaceful, yet just minutes away from the St Helens town center or the breathtaking Bay of Fires.
Hugh and Celin present themselves as excellent hosts, the house is in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. The ease of access to the property and the reassurance and support from the owners (who are genuinely invested in making your stay as effortless as possible) over our stay made things a breeze.
Overall, I could not recommend this stay highly enough. The experience that you and your group will receive, given the price, is excellent.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thanks Hugh and Celin!
Stunning property looking back over the township of St Helens and George's Bay. Only 5 minutes from town but felt like a million miles away, quiet except for the sound of the birds and animals.
Thanks Hugh and Celin for sharing your beautiful house and making the process so easy.
Fantastic location, near brand new fittings and all the little things taken care of. And yes, there was a peacock roaming outside our front door.:)
Fabulous views and easy drive to the beach. Walking distance to St Helens. We stayed as a party of 4 adults and two kids and there was plenty of space for everyone.
Kudos to Hugh and Celin, an amazing property. Highly recommend!
As soon as you arrive you feel like you are on holiday. With plenty of parking and a turning circle for boats it is effortless to get in and settled to take in the panoramic views of the bay. The house is immaculate and perfect for a large family or group. A massive open plan kitchen, dining and lounge lets everyone congregate together without obstruction. Everyone will want the master suite for themselves, even though the other 2 rooms give you more than enough comfort and space. The deer, kangaroo, peacocks, emu's and more entertain the kids and there are plenty of areas to ramble around. To top it off Hugh and Celin are the friendliest and easy going landlords you will ever meet. We cannot talk this place up enough, 11 out of 10.
Nice big spacious house with most of the mod cons.
An amazing view across St Helens. Relaxing in the afternoon with a local cheese platter.
Kids loved the animals. Feeding them was fun.
Great stay. Cheers
This place is amazing and the hosts are brilliant! Highly recommend, can’t wait to come back.
The host, Hugh, was brilliant at giving advice on what to do in the area and the best places to go on this beautiful and expansive property. There are fantastic animals all over including peacocks, emus and deer. You have to see it to believe it!
Thank you so much for having us, we had the best time and would love to come back at the first opportunity. Thank you especially for accommodating our family members who were unable to stay in their accomodation because of the bush fires.
