Weekend in STL
We were looking for a place to stay close to my son’s college campus. This was the perfect property. Plenty of room & just a short 4 min drive for my son to come over. It is just as pictured. Communication with the owner was great, very fast in responding. Safe location, quiet neighborhood. We had a great stay!

Great stay, HORRIBLE post-stay interaction
This is a beautiful home in a great location in St. Louis. It was easy to get to in a fun neighborhood. The home was spacious and comfortable. Host was easy to contact and helpful before and during the stay. Our trouble with the VRBO happened after we left. We received texts a half hour after check out time asking us to vacate the premises because the cleaning people were waiting outside to clean. We texted them back that we had left a half hour before check out time. We thought it was very strange that they assumed we were still there. We stayed in the St. Louis area for a few more hours and then made the 8+ hour drive home. Two days later, when I went to leave for work, I couldn't find my work bag with my computer. After searching all over, we figured we must have left it at the VRBO. We contacted the host, Dan, who looked into it and confirmed that we had in fact left my bag there. We realized then that that was probably why the cleaning staff thought we were still there at 11:30 - they had seen my bag at the door. Nobody said anything to us about my bag being there until I asked about it. We were in town for HOURS after checkout and could have easily come back for the bag if they had just notified us that it was there. They eventually said they would send us the laptop if we paid them $150 plus shipping. Ridiculous. I asked if they could budge at all on that and they refused. In the end, we sent a student we know that lives somewhat nearby to pick it up.
