"Loved staying at this private castle, even if it was the original maids quarters! Spacious room with french doors opening onto the lawn garden and creek below. Bathroom was fine and water on a timer but always hot. It is outside of St Andrews but worth it for the experience and peaceful ambience. Continental breakfast was in our mini fridge and replenished daily so we could eat at our leisure. No microwave which would have been an advantage for quick evening meals. "Staying at Cambo is an unforgettable experience. When everyone else goes home, you get to stay and wander the beautiful grounds and spend the night in one of the historic rooms. The service is wonderful, the breakfast is huge and delicious (get the porridge!), and the bed was comfortable. I also loved being able to go for run through the property and directly to the sea in the morning! "
