The room was clean and tidy. However weather was unseasonably cold and there was no heating on in the room. This made for an unpleasant showering experience. When I went down to eat I explained to the staff who were very apologetic and had the heating switched on in my room. The room took a long time to get up to reasonable temperature which made for an uncomfortable evening.

Weekend Break
We are returning customers and found the place to be as welcoming as before. The staff are always friendly and polite, our room was a little cold but we were offered a boost on the heating if necessary. There were a few issues in the shower room but these were reported on the system immediately. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. When it was noted that we were waiting quite a while for our food we were given an apology and offered more drinks. Not once did we have to ask about anything. Would highly recommended and will definitely be staying there again.

The perfect stay
Myself and my partner have been really looking forwards to a night away and were not disappointed at all. The staff were so friendly throughout our stay, the room was beautiful and so comfy and the breakfast the next morning was perfect. We will definitely be coming back and we are very grateful to the staff for such a wonderful experience.

The food was reasonable, the staff were friendly and helpful, however my single bed was more like an infant bed. Very small. My feet dangled off the end of the bed. The man in the room next to me left his TV on all night which I could hear through the walls.

Lovely pub but needs some TLC
Lovely pub with lovely bar/restaurant. Food menu was fairly broad and well cooked. Service overall was excellent. Had room 8 which seemed to have the water tank over it, so was noisy in the evenings, but quiet at night. The exterior needs some TLC, in particular the windows. I assume the building is listed as the metal windows are so over painted that they don't shut and the only saving grace is the secondary glazing panels. There is also a loose drain panel on the road outside that the traffic (on a busy road) goes over and clanks. Fine if the window panel is shut but otherwise very noisy.
