They advertise a pool and hot tub but tols us it was indefinitely closed and they did not update the website. The kids working the front desk were snarky and rude. Room was old but clean.

There was no heat on in the room upon arrival. Turned the heat on, but it did not work. State College in January requires heat! I told the front desk and maintenance did come in 15 min. The maintenance staff member was very nice and was able to fix the problem. The heat stopped working again overnight. Told the front desk in the morning. Again, the maintenance crew was great. I asked the front desk for some reimbursment for not having heat on two occasions during our one-day stay. All they offered was one voucher for brunch. There were two of us. Thats almost insulting for having no heat all night. The maintenance crew is great, but they can't overcome the aging building.

Staff was very friendly. The main door to get into the hotel was out of order and entry was through a different door further away from the check in desk. The indoor pool was closed due to a leak. We chose this hotel specifically for the indoor pool. There was no mention that the pool was closed until we got to the hotel. As per one of the staff it was not a recent issue. It should not be advertised as having a pool if guests will not be able to use it. We would have stayed elsewhere for less money had we known.

What disturbed us the most was the big red & green dried up booger on one of the pillows. A closer look at the sheets also led me to believe that the sheets were never changed prior to our late arrival. There was a little mold in the tub area and the bathroom sink would fill up and slowly drain after each use leaving it dirty after each use. When we arrived there was hair in the sink. We were expecting more. We will not stay here again. Still waiting to here from someone about adjusting our bill. I showed the front desk a photo of the booger on the pillow!

The bathroom set-up is confusing. There is a floor to ceiling mirror right in the middle of the bathroom. No shelving for towels, only hooks or laying on sink. Hand rails for shower were way lower and far away from where I needed them to be
