Close to Athens Ohio. You’ll love my place because of the views, the peace, the fishing, the relaxation. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). My place is also part of the Windy 9 for the Motorcycle enthusiasts or those who just want to enjoy some scenic rides through the countryside.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and there are three additional beds in the loft upstairs. This is a cozy little place to relax and enjoy the peace and relaxation.

Please note this is a cabin in the country. We try very hard to keep everything fresh. clean and comfortable. You will experience a country setting which includes often (not promised) seeing wildlife. We also have other country aspects. This is a small cabin in the country and bugs do get into the cabin at times. If this is an issue for you please ask about them before booking. We work very hard to minimize this issue but at certain times of the year they can be a nuisance. If you are looking for a pristine place to go this may not be the option for you. If you are looking for a super relaxing cabin and place to escape we feel this is an excellent option. We would love to have you as guests but want to make sure you are comfortable. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We will answer as honest and accurate as possible. We want you to enjoy the trip you are planning and have a wonderful time whether it is with open season or elsewhere.

This is a no frills cabin (except for the hot tub :) as reflected in the price. This means you will need to bring things like hand soap, all personal items, towels for the hot tub...etc. One bath towel and wash cloth is provided for each guest. If you want extra please bring some with you.

Lake Dow is a short 15 minute drive. Lake has kayaks, paddleboat, Pontoon boats, a beach, picnic area, fishing and more to enjoy.

This was a wonderful spot for a week of quiet relaxation. If you're looking to get away from it all, relax, and just be, this is the place. The pond is full of bluegill and bass, so the kids would love the fishing. FYI, it's about 20 minutes away from any modern conveniences (gas, groceries, restaurants).

Cabin potential
This was a cute cabin for a getaway weekend. Loved having the hot tub and pretty views/access to the nearby pond. The bugs were a bit much and unsure of what measures were taken to spray the cabin and clean up bugs that were in the cabin . The upstairs was a good space, but due to bugs, we did not use that bonus space during our stay.

Quiet Cabin
This is a quaint cabin on a quiet road surrounded by woods, which kept it very private. The cabin is rustic and accurately explained in the details. It has a fully equipped kitchen and had everything we needed, and then some. A squirrel greeted us on the deck each morning and we saw lots of deer, wild turkey, and rabbits. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and watching the turtles sun themselves on a log. It was a nice getaway.

The pictures don't do the cabin justice. The pond/lake seemed much bigger than in the pictures. It had a great back deck looking over the pond so I could easily keep an eye on the kids and relax myself. The host was awesome and very responsive.

Mark was an excellent host, very responsive and easy to work with even when the electric went out at three in the morning. House is very remote take a truck if you have it. House is extremely clean. Would love to come back in the fall when the weather is a little cooler and the leaves are turning.

Eclipse vacation

Our stay was everything we had hoped for and more. For being a cabin in the woods, the home was surprising tight and free of insects. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer to catch more fish!

Cabin situated on beautiful property
Roomy, comfortable Cabin. Livingroom set up was accommodating. Food trays, tv, air, comfy seats. Loved sitting on the deck and gazing out at the pond. Saw a Night Heron, hawks, geese, turkey vultures, deer, turtles, and many song birds. Would stay here again. You are surrounded by country living.
