Sleeping up to four guests, this beautiful holiday home is an ideal base for romantic retreats, family staycations and getaways for small groups of friends. High Street, Norton also accepts one well behaved dog so your four legged friend can enjoy a holiday too!
The Space:
High Street, Norton has been recently refurbished and decorated to the highest standard. You can expect immaculate styling with a cosy cottage feel throughout. Sleeping up to four guests, the property boasts a living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, two shower rooms and an enclosed yard.
Upon entering the property, you’ll be welcomed into the living and dining area. Whilst transformed into a modern and sophisticated space, you’ll still find traditional features such as the sash window. A great spot to unwind, you can relax on the comfy sofa and turn on the flat screen TV to keep up with your favourite shows. Also sharing this space is the dining area which includes a round dining table and four chairs.
The kitchen in High Street, Norton is fully equipped for self-catering stays. Amenities include an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer so you can prepare home cooked meals during your stay. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience.
The family bathroom is located just off the kitchen. Ultra modern and clean, this space features a walk in shower, WC and basin.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find the bedrooms. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated and styled. You’ll find premium bedding and plush soft furnishings to ensure you have the best sleep possible. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable double bed with en suite shower room and the second bedroom is a king.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free on-street parking to the front of the property and on the surrounding streets. All spaces are on a first come first serve basis.
Please note that the fireplace is ornamental and not for guest use.
The Neighborhood:
Dating back to the Anglo-Saxon times, the charming market town of Norton is steeped in history. Take a stroll down the leafy high street which has beautiful 18th century buildings home to popular restaurants, cafes and bars.
If you’re looking for a dog friendly place to eat or drink, we’d recommend a visit to The Scruffy Duck where you’ll find delicious, traditional British food. You can’t visit Norton without trying the North East’s famous ‘parmo’ so a visit to The Open Jar is also a must! For a great steak or cocktail, head to Meet at 12 which is the newest hotspot in Norton. If you like Indian cuisine, Jolsha is a great choice. When it comes to cafes, Café Lilli and Café Maison are just two of our favourites. You really will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking during your stay!
You can’t miss Norton’s huge village green and duck pond. This green space is a focal point within the town and has been around for centuries.
Getting Around:
Norton has a bustling high street and plenty of places to explore but you are just as easily placed to enjoy the surrounding towns and villages. With frequent buses to Stockton, Middlesbrough and Darlington you can reach main cities across the country within a couple of hours.
Middlesbrough has direct links to Newcastle and Manchester, while Darlington station has direct trains to York, Leeds and London.
