We did not rent a car and the apartment is about a mile from town. I would say you might want one if you want to be out late. The trail to town is rustic and not something you could do in the dark. "We had a lovely week in Casa Bellavista. What amazing views! It’s a comfortable property and well located. Really enjoyed the meal at Cardini - tried to go back again on our last night but they are closed on Tuesday. "We enjoyed our stay in this property. We are a family of five and there was enough space for all of us, and the two bathrooms were very welcome. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. It was also very handy to park outside. The views over the lake from the outside terrace were lovely and made a great place to eat. It was extremely hot when we stayed (35C during they day, and 30C at night) and there were two fans provided which were very welcome. It would be even better if there were three...
