"The apartment was exactly as pictured with a gorgeous view of the lake! The area is private and quiet. Laura was so kind to us! She picked us up at the train station and took me grocery shopping. We did not rent a car and the apartment is about a mile from town. I would say you might want one if you want to be out late. The trail to town is rustic and not something you could do in the dark. It is very steep! The apartment was well equipped and we got groceries and made a lite dinner each...

"Positively beautiful views of the lake. You can not be fearful of driving very narrow and switchback roads to be rewarded by the view after. You MUST download the YouTube directions on picking up the key and accessing the garage or you will be lost!!! Finding the location for pickingup the key is a double challenge. "This property was excellent. Good location to the town only 15 mins walk. As the property is up slightly from the main road it takes a few minutes longer on the way back. However as we were attending a wedding and my wife was wearing high heels the host kindly ran us into town. The weather during our stay was very hot however our accommodation remained cool. Overall we would recommend this property to stay in and if for longer stays the kitchen is well equipped."

"The flat is located in a larger property setting and three doors/gates need to be passed to get into it, making it a very safe place to stay. (... however, without keys you cannot leave the house either, which is a bit tedious with 5 people but only one set of keys) It takes 10-15 minutes to the lake and in hot summer, the way up can feel a bit hard. However, we liked the Stresa a lot and would come back here again!"
