Welcome to 'Quietside Lakefront Cabin,' a delightful haven tucked away on the peaceful side of Door County, perched on the stunning shores of Lake Michigan. This endearing hideaway near Jacksonport caters not only to couples looking for a romantic respite but also to families desiring a memorable nature retreat.

The property is hosted by Carolyn and our professional co-hosts, Rob & Suzie. Your rental will always be prepared for your stay by one of our cleaning specialists. The home is prepared with professionally laundered bed linens and towels, and stocked basic supplies such as toiletries, coffee, TP, and kitchen essentials.

Our co-hosts, Rob & Suzie, have been hosting guests since 2014. You'll check in to the home using a keypad deadbolt. We're always available via phone call or text to assist with things during your stay.


The cabin is nestled in the serene locale of Jacksonport, tucked away on a tranquil lakefront road. This peaceful neighborhood is within easy driving distance to the bustling peninsula towns of Egg Harbor, Baileys Harbor, Fish Creek, and Sister Bay. In addition, Jacksonport boasts a stunning public sand beach, perfect for leisurely strolls, sun-soaked afternoons, or refreshing swims in the warmer months. This cherished retreat, located along the pristine shores of Lake Michigan near Jacksonport, is undergoing thoughtful refurnishing and a stylish bathroom remodel to enhance your stay in 2024.

Peaceful Fall Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the access to the shoreline. We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. My only suggestion would be updating the oven. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful first time staying here.
We really loved the house, it was clean and orderly. It was nice to not have to worry about needing trash bags etc. The new stairs to the lake was my favorite part. Very comfortable home. We will happily book again. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful views
We are regular goers of Door County, my parents used to have a place up for 15 years and this is by far our favorite location we’ve ever stayed. Enjoyed walking around on the rocks below and made sure to bring a tripod for family pictures that looked professional! House size was just right for us and loved the screened in porch at night. We hope to stay again!

Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids. The house was very clean and had all the amenities for a perfect stay. mattresses were very comfortable and the property was the perfect location to get to all parts of DC.

Needs some fixes
I was a bit surprised by the other five-star ratings, but those could understandably be based on the property's nice waterfront location at a relatively low price. Communication with the property management was excellent, the nice linens and towels were appreciated, and the rocky shoreline is beautiful. The oven is rusting and the interior of the oven is filthy. Stained and old bathroom fixtures are in strong need of updating. A sign next to the toilet reads, "Please Double Check the Toilet So It Is Not Leaking", which shouldn't be the responsibility of the renters. Some quick sweeping of dirt and spiderwebs on the screened-in and exterior porches would be nice. Minor fixes like these show respect for the renters and enhance their experience, a necessity no matter how low a rental is priced. The house could be a gem with some minor work, most by the owner, some by housekeeping.

Beautiful home, great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is on a quiet road and very private. The view and sounds of the lake were so relaxing. There was a nice selection of movies and plenty of kitchen basics. It made a great home base for exploring the area, and had plenty of comfortable common spaces for times we wanted to hang out at home. We would love to come and stay again sometime!

Nice stay in Jacksonport
We had a very nice stay. Beautiful view of the lake, quiet, calm, pleasant. Home has been updated and is comfortable. Full kitchen, screened porch, comfortable rooms. Just outside Jacksonport with easy access to the lake side of Door County, or a quick jaunt across the peninsula to the bay side. Would definitely recommend.
