Perfect getaway to unplug
Much needed retreat in the mountains. Beautiful home with everything you need. Hot tub was a bonus. Host was amazing, plenty of recommendations for local hikes and area history. Definitely rural & remote, bring your groceries, stores are a little bit of a drive. The driveway is gravel and a little steep but had no issues making my way up. No cell services but WiFi worked just fine. First time in this area, hope to return soon

This cabin is a treasure!
We had a lovely stay at Hawk's Whistle. The cabin was super secluded and clean. We especially loved the hot tub. It was sparkling and lovely. We had no trouble getting up the driveway in a Chevy Malibu. Pro-tip: take the right hand side of the driveway for the easiest way up. The cabin is very spacious in person. The kitchen is well appointed. The linens were all clean. There is an upstairs reading area that is not pictured and it was a wonderful surprise. We had a great time!

Beware of driveway!
The cabin itself was very nice. However the driveway leading up to the cabin leaves a lot to be desired. It is gravel and very steep and full of ruts. I drive a Toyota Highlander and could only make it about halfway up the driveway before my tires started spinning. That is as far as I could go. I tried 3 different times to get all the way up to the cabin. Never made it. I do believe if the driveway was maintained better maybe I could have made it. To be fair to the owner I was told the driveway was gravel when I inquired about it. But was not told about the ruts in the driveway. Unfortunately a member of my party stepped into one of these ruts as we were walking down to our car. She fell and broke her wrist. This all happened the last night of our trip. So we had a trip to the emergency room. And now as I am here leaving this review she is in surgery to repair her wrist. Thank you to Suches vacation rentals for giving us directions to the nearest hospital. Hopefully nobody will be needing the hospital. But we highly recommend Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Dahlonega. Like I said the cabin is very nice. It is spacious and secluded. There were condiments left in the refrigerator from previous guests. Which I thought should have been discarded before our arrival. I would consider staying here again. If it weren't for the driveway. But just can't do it with the driveway being like it is.

Beautiful country cabin
We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The cabin is secluded and quiet. The drive to it is a beautiful country winding road. The driveway is a little bit of an incline so you may think about that if it were to have snow on the dirt access road and driveway. The living room couches were very comfy and a welcome surprise as most houses we have rented did not have comfortable seating areas.

Perfect place to reconnect
This cabin was the perfect place for a girl's weekend! We haven't been able to all be together in over 20 years, and this cabin allowed us to be able to do that. We reminisced on the good ol' days and made plenty of new memories! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Wooded Family Retreat
The cabin was excellent! We enjoyed walking our dog along the road up the hill. Even took my 4x4 truck with the kids up to the more remote areas of the road. It was peaceful sitting out by the fire pit every night as my kids were playing in the natural beauty of the property. I gave the accuracy of the online list a 4/5 stars because it advertised they there is a trail that leads directly to a waterfall about a mile away. Had a picture of a sign too, but alas, with all the exploring around the property by the kids and me, we could not find the trail or the sign. The young lady who came to check on the flooded dishwasher was unaware of the trail. The trail was the main reason behind booking this property. Regardless, of that little mix up, I will be coming back again. The management was quick to come and resolve the low water pressure in the kitchen, unfortunately and the flooded dishwasher could not be quickly repaired. Location was central to the hiking and dirt road trails we wanted to explore. There are 2 places close by to eat and get some supplies. I’d suggest getting BBQ at Wildcats going north on HWY 60, and a revolving menu at Coopers Creek Store. I highly recommend the cabin for you and your family. Make sure you say hello to the cows as you head toward HWY 60.
