Your own totally private river in four acres of wilderness bush, five minutes to Noosaville. Long river frontages on two sides, state park with a patch of rain forest on the third side and long bush drive on the fourth side. A covered deck high in the trees overlooks the river. Kookaburras and magpies sit on the deck rail and mullet jump in the river below. Kangaroos are valued residents on the lawns.
The house is open-plan with a "die-for" deck in the trees looking down on the river. Parents unwind on the deck while children adventure below! Fish, crab and kayak directly from the house, in a very private and wilderness like setting. Children love the kayaks (we provide 7, two of which are dedicated fishing kayaks, and life jackets) These provide a wilderness-like paddling experience. Paddle down the river to Lake Cooroibah, and try some estuary fishing. Or take a tinny (outboard) from the house down the river to Tewantin or Noosa for breakfast (we provide the kayaks, you provide the tinny).
Comfortable lounges on the ultra-large tree level deck look down on river reflections. Breakfast with the fish jumping and the birds singing (but please don't feed the friendly kookaburras!). Kangaroos, kookaburras, water monitors and bush turkeys reside in the adjacent national park. A family of 'roos is resident in the gardens, and the kookaburras sit on the balcony rail watching the progress of your meal out of the corner of their eyes!
The house and deck are fully accessible without ascending steps and the shower in the main bathroom is wheel chair friendly.
There are sweeping lawns down to the river and towering original growth eucalypts. Paperbarks line the river bank.
Sit around the firepit by the river cooking snags under the stars and listening to the mullet splashing. Maybe the kids have a line in the river (fishing gear provided).
Then, in case you are thinking that life couldn't get much better, it is just seven minutes to the amazing choice of restaurants along the Noosa River on Gympie Terrace (Noosaville), 15 minutes (off peak) to Hastings Street fashion shopping, renowned restaurants and Noosa's iconic main beach and surfing.
Enjoy truly memorable day trips to Fraser Island in 4WD buses, or take your own 4wd up the North Shore beach to Fraser Island, with a fish in the surf on the way. The Tewantin car ferry across the Noosa River to the North Sore is five minutes away.
Other nearby attractions include the beautiful Noosa River Everglades by launch, Aussie World, UnderWater World and internationally-renowned Australia Zoo. Eumundi markets are nearby (Wednesday and Saturday) as is Noosa's equally popular Sunday morning market. Noosa has a network of scenic walking trails in the Noosa National Park (15 minutes away) and the Cooloolah National Park (along the North Sore and fifteen minutes away).
Minimum booking is two days.
A separate and privately located granny flat on the same 4 acres can also be added for $120/night (off season price) plus cleaning. This boosts adult accommodation to 8. The granny flat is light, spacious and airy and lets you holiday with your friends/relatives, but with separate and more private living spaces. It comprises three rooms with en suite, stove, air fryer, dishwasher, tv, washing machine and its own huge deck overlooking another branch of the river. This is popular with friends wanting to holiday together but keep their own private living space or parents retreat.
