The villa is located 65 km southwest of Kuopio, on the shore of the large Lake Iisvesi.
The main house is a fully renovated three-story building originally built in 1958.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with a total of four beds and a toilet. Each room has a TV, and one of them also has a large screen that can be used as a TV. The sunny lake-facing upstairs room is equipped with an air source heat pump.
You enter the middle floor through the outdoor door into a bright glass veranda. The spacious entrance hall includes a toilet. The main room features a practical kitchen and a large dining table where you can enjoy views of the lush garden and the ever-changing lake surface.
A door opens from the main room to a lakeside patio.
The main room continues as a spacious living area with a large TV, a heat-storing fireplace, and an air conditioning unit.
There are two bedrooms on this floor: one blue room with a double bed and one red room with two single beds.
In the basement level, there is a cozy furnished dressing room/lounge with a fireplace. The electric sauna heats up quickly, and the bathroom has two showers. Around the corner, you'll find a utility room with a washing machine. This floor also has a third toilet, a freezer, and an additional fridge.
There are patios and large tables surrounding the house. You can choose shade under a large tree when you want to cool off, or sit on the sunny patio right in front of the main room door. It’s easy to bring cooking supplies to the patio from the kitchen. For outdoor cooking, you have access to a gas grill and an electric smoker.
A charming wood-heated lakeside sauna stands right at the water’s edge, along with a wood grill and patio. A rowboat and canoes are available by the shore.
The small lakeside hut includes a mini kitchen and a bed. It’s perfect for a daytime nap or even overnight stays.
There are three sandy beaches, two of which feature brick-built wood grills.
The renovated old barn offers comfortable lounge areas and games such as ping pong, darts, pétanque, and more.
You can also spend time or stay overnight in the "Riihi" (called Tätilä), which has a double bed, electric heating, and lighting if needed.
Additionally, there are two storage sheds in the yard, one of which contains firewood for the fireplaces and the lakeside sauna.
Internet connection: 30 Mbps 4G.
The owner’s dog occasionally visits the cottage, but otherwise, pets are not allowed. Surrounding the house are extensive lawns, a forest garden, a vegetable patch, various plantings, berry bushes, and apple trees — all of which guests are welcome to use freely.
Some fishing gear is stored in the lakeside hut and the woodshed. The villa offers excellent fishing waters and great opportunities for anglers.
A site-specific fishing license covers various types of fishing equipment.
Note: In addition, each person must pay the national Fisheries Management Fee.
There is a large, long pier at the shoreline.
Please note: There are rocks at the end of the pier — jumping from the pier is currently prohibited!
Excellent mushroom and berry-picking forests are nearby.
In winter, there are also great cross-country skiing trails in the area.
