"We stayed for 9 days to relax, visit Paris and boulder in Fontainebleau forest. Gîte du Val D’auneau was the perfect base. Incredibly spacious, private and well appointed, we didn’t want for anything. Excellent pool area kept the kids happy for hours a the lovely covered outdoor dining area was a wonderful place to eat. Andréa and Philippe were the perfect hosts, they answered a questions promptly but allowed our privacy. Very highly recommended "

"Beautiful house - immaculate inside and out. The house is very new and everything has been thought about with no expense spared. Alberic was such a lovely host - he booked dinner for us and provided my daughter with a more suitable sized bike - nothing was too much trouble. The house is set is a lovely quiet village but close to other towns and villages. My children loved the pool, again it was immaculate and heated to a lovely temperature. Thank you Alberic, we would love to return. "

"Several items were broken, some terrible smells from plumbing, hornets nest somewhere in building, sun umbrellas useless, swimming pool dirty with lots of wasps around it that stung the children. Altogether, I was disgusted especially for what we paid"

"The location is so peaceful. Surrounded by the forest with a wonderful view down to the small lake. We enjoyed sitting outside, spotting the local wildlife,such as deer, wild boar and numerous birds. There's plenty of space for children to play. There's badminton,boules and ping pong.You can walk in the woods or cycle. If you enjoy cycling, the area is great and even the small county lanes are well maintained.
