Vintage 1857~Stone & Beam Cellar
The space
Ideally situated in the middle of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Region in the heart of the Mother Lode of California’s Gold Country, Vintage 1857 Cellar is the perfect retreat for your next getaway!
Positioned along the banks of Amador Creek sits Historic Torres Hall in the once bustling community of Amador City during its Gold Rush heyday.
Tiny Amador City, now a beautifully preserved outpost to be rediscovered and treasured for its charm and historical significance will capture your imagination and your heart!
Vintage 1857 Cellar, once the former horse and buggy repair and, more recently, the original Wine Tasting Cellar of Amador County sits just 30 minutes from Folsom, 1 hour from Sacramento and Stockton and 2 hrs from the Bay Area. This amazing location not only offers convenience but a multitude of great activities and fun things to do!
You are only minutes away from wine tasting at dozens of acclaimed local vineyards, Harrah’s and Jackson Rancheria Casinos, Preston Castle and historic Gold Country towns where you can step back in time and rediscover a bygone era.
Nearby outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and biking trails are minutes away and Apple Hill, Prairie City OHV Park and Rancho Murietta Equestrian Facility within 40 minutes, snow sports at Kirkwood or Sierra at Tahoe Resorts at just over an hour away and Yosemite National Park at just over 2 hrs away!
Your options are endless, all the while you’ll be immersed in California’s iconic beauty and discovering it’s historic past!
Vintage 1857 Cellar will transport you back to California’s roots with all of the modern conveniences and amenities of today!
Restoration Hardware furnishings, Anthropologie and SoHo Home are just some of the names which invoke style and comfort. Alpaca throws to keep you warm by the wood burning fireplace while watching a Netflix movie on your 70” Smart TV.
Induction stovetop with convection/air fryer oven and Nespresso and Keurig coffee makers for your morning coffee. Feel free to pour yourself a chilled glass of champagne from the bar.
Open the huge double doors to your private outdoor patio area and dine Al fresco under the cantina lights and the ancient Zinfandel grape vine that dates back to over 150 years old and is said to be one of the oldest, if not the oldest, still producing Zinfandel grape vine in California today.
Rustic elegance and historic charm will leave you feeling like you’ve just stepped straight out of the pages of a historic novel or western movie.
