Sleepy part of town with infrequent bus services and limited dining options, not very accessible to Niseko mountain but right at the base of Moiwa Mountain. "We had an amazing stay. The food, the staff, and the whole vibe of the decor are incredible. What a cozy, lovely spot. I know the harsh winters can be hard in a property, but I would suggest they do some minor maintenance (wood paneling on private outdoor onsen area, rust on private porch railing, wallpaper in entrance area) to ensure this amazing hotel can stay around for a long time! We want to come back in every season. "

"This was our third stay at Freedom Inn. We love the location within walking distance to the ski field but away from touristy Hirafu. They have a great pick up drop off shuttle service which can take you to dinner in either Hirafu or Kutchan. Try Kutchan for a more authentic japanese experience. You can even stop by an onsen on the way! There also is a free shuttle to/from the ski lifts. The rooms are very spaceous and there is an onsen/ouffro on site too. The photos don't really do this place...

"Loved staying at Milky house, would definitely stay again. It's a 10-minute walk to the Annupuri Gondola, had a cute little bar on-site for great apres drinks and a food cart that was there each evening. In addition the dinners and breakfast served at Milky were amazing! The staff were so kind and accommodating. "

"Beautiful property and facilities with high-end finishes and design. Excellent food (breakfast) and good restaurants. Only downside is that there is no walkable "local" area to explore. The hotel is self-contained but isolated, and one needs to take the shuttle to Hirafu to be in town. That said, it was a wonderful place to ski in and out of, with fantastic service and amenities."

"We spent seven days at Nikko Style in HANAZONO for a ski trip, and it surpassed our expectations—especially considering the negative reviews we had read beforehand. We decided to keep our expectations low, but the experience turned out to be fantastic. The hotel is ultra-modern, conveniently located next to the slopes and bus stop, and offers excellent service and cleanliness. I would highly recommend it and would gladly stay again. It’s home away from home!"

"What a great place to stay! Room was comfortable and cozy. Heating worked well. There is plenty of free parking. I was concerned about the shared bathroom, but it was kept very clean. Shower water pressure was awesome. They provide free toiletries. Breakfast was great. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, literally every single one. There is laundry and dryer. I liked that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the resort lodging. Only about 1.2 miles from Annupuri. About 4.5...
