"Well in it's day I bet it was a smart hotel,it needs a bit of TLC but it was budget hotel so you don't have high expectations, but I did not expect a broken shower holder, and the shower screen was not on it's rails correctly and black mold ,it was a good bathroom apart from that and the room was ok "
"The bed was very soft. The mattress sloped on one side, making sleep difficult. I had to hang on with one arm to prevent my body from falling on the floor. Please fix this!!"
"Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. The window could be opened, which helped a bit.

"The hotel was locked down from early night until 8 pm. No service and very difficult to get to the parkinglot. Not even coffee was available before 8 am. "Unusual" service and openinghours."
"The lady we met at check in was very friendly and helpful . The entrance, breakfast area and room were perfect! Our room was comfortable. . It’s a beautiful and very clean hotel !
Love it!"
"Hyvä palvelu, kaunis paikka ja hyvä ravintola. Ilmastoinnin puute haittasi hieman. Jos olisi ollut vielä lämpimämpää olisi huoneessa varmasti tukalaa."
"Really stunning location right on the lake. Big breakfast options. Clean room. No tea and coffee facilities in Room but free tea and coffee available all day in restaurant. "
"These are nice little cottages with some beautiful scenery. You check in at the hotel/restaurant, then drive up the hill to the cottages. They are nicely equipped with a kitchenette, so you can have a nice meal overlooking the lake. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful."

It was unfortunate that their gym and sauna facilities were being renovated as we would have enjoyed use of them.
Although the area around the property has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and small town shopping, the street immediately in front of the hotel is under construction and closed off, which made getting to the property tricky.
The breakfast buffet was good, though it would have been nice to have items more clearly labeled for those with dietary restrictions/allergies. A member of our party is vegan and had some difficulty figuring out their options. When we asked the food service worker, she did not know the difference between vegetarian and vegan, so they recommended options that had milk and eggs.
Other than these items, our one-night stay was comfortable. "
