MERVEILLE has four bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, 2 bathrooms, separate laundry, high ceilings, French windows and doors, polished floorboards, ducted air-conditioning with discrete zones to all rooms, state of the art-security and a huge rear deck with views and enormous cold climate gardens.
MERVEILLE sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms with luxury bedding in the following configuration:
MASTER BEDROOM: views, a luxury KING sleigh bed with quality white linen, a luxury ensuite with a 'rain' shower, a therapeutic 30 jet SPA bath and a separate toilet. The Master also has built in robes and it's own outdoor deck with views. You'll love the empyrean of relaxation with the spa, heated towel rack and the gorgeous King sleigh bed to watch your favourite shows on the huge 65" SMART HD TV.
2ND BEDROOM, (or a parent's retreat), is a large sunroom adjoining the Master bedroom with two 3-seater leather lounges and a gorgeous sunny disposition overlooking the valley and gardens. This room also contains two gorgeous wrought iron luxury KING-SINGLE beds with quality white linen,
3RD BEDROOM: views, a luxury QUEEN bed, quality white linen and built in robes.
4TH BEDROOM: luxury KING sleigh bed, quality white linen, built in robes and a stunning rear garden vista.
All beds have luxury mattresses, quality white linen, individually zoned electric blankets, luxury pillows, doonas, doona covers, extra blankets, mattress & pillow protectors and large, soft bath towels. All our linen at MERVEILLE is washed using hypo-allergenic (low-irritant) laundry detergent that is suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergies. Weather permitting, all our linen is line dried to improve freshness and deliver better quality and sanitation for our guests.
Our KING and QUEEN mattresses are superior quality - they cannot be split into two discrete beds. All bedrooms have curtains and block-out blinds so you can sleep in. A travel cot is located in the wardrobe of the 4th bedroom. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN COT LINEN.
MERVEILLE has state-of-the-art 8 zone ducted air-conditioning throughout the entire home. In winter the home is sunny and warm. In Summer, MERVEILLE is cool and breezy.
The kitchen, dining and lounge room are open plan with French doors opening to the very large terrace - together these form the hub of the home. The new kitchen is beautifully designed and has gorgeous views. It is fully equipped and includes Caesarstone benchtops, a large pantry, induction cooktop, a double wall oven, a large convection microwave (i.e. three ovens), a French (double) door fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a slow cooker, a rice cooker, a stick blender, and all the typical kitchen amenities. All cupboards and draws are soft close. A high-chair and toddler utensils, cups and bowls are provided. Some pantry staples are also provided: for example, a Twinings tea chest, a starter pack of coffee capsules, basic herbs & spices, salt, pepper, paper towels and cleaning products.
Our bathrooms are stocked with all ablutions, including PROFESSIONAL hair-care products - not cheap supermarket brands.
The dining table comfortably accommodates ten people.
The loungeroom opens to the large outdoor terrace and provides a large comfortable lounge for ten people. Sit back and relax in front of the enormous 75" SMART HD TV, streamed via our fast 200MB/s STARLINK (satellite) internet connection so you can access your NETFLIX, STAN and YouTube! A BlueRay DVD player and a stereo with BlueTooth, CD & radio are also provided, along with a good selection of DVD’s, CD's and a library of books for your enjoyment. Free-to-air channels are available via the relevant apps., - if yours isn't available you can download it.
The large terrace has valley views, an outdoor dining setting for ten people, an outdoor lounge for ten people and a 7-burner stainless steel BBQ. It is the perfect place to relax with your family and friends and enjoy the stunning views. A spare gas bottle for the BBQ is provided in the laundry.
The laundry is located at the rear of the home and includes two sinks, one front load LG washer and two dryers. Hypo-allogenic washing detergent, a Phillips STEAM iron and ironing board are also provided.
MERVEILLE has state of the art security. The property is fully fenced and gated and there are no keys - all guests receive a unique security code that opens all gates and doors. The electric driveway gates are simple to use and automatically close after entry. All garden and driveway lighting is automatic. The whole property is protected with external security cameras and security lighting, (note, the security cameras face the property boundaries). The smoke detectors are hard wired so there are NO batteries that go flat in the middle of the night.
All lighting in all rooms are dimmable warm-white LED. Most windows have fly-screens.
The main bathroom has been renovated to its original period and includes a shower, toilet and basin. Our planned extension to MERVEILLE, (2025), involve moving this bathroom.
There is ample off-street parking for multiple cars, a caravan, boat or trailer.
The gardens include a SPRINGFREE trampoline, a swing set, a fountain, a large multitier bird bath and a showcase the stunning cold-climate flowers and the resident lyrebirds, King parrots, Rainbow Lorikeets, crimson Rosellas, Whip birds, Bell birds, very rare black cockatoos and eagles. If you put some bird seed on the top tier of the bird bath, the King parrots, Rainbow Lorikeet will come and entertain you. The gardens are being improved over time by the leading horticultural architect from Gorgeous Gardens (previously the Head Horticulturalist for Federal Parliament in Canberra). There are plenty of gardens for the kids to explore and play games.
The following improvements are planned for late 2025:
1. A Sapphire 5-person outdoor spa.
2. A 5th King size bedroom.
The Wentworth Falls village provides gorgeous cafes, restaurants, antique stores, homeware stores, bookstores, toy stores, chocolate shops, bakeries and an opportunity shop. Leura and Katoomba provide more Cafes, restaurants, bars, ALDI, Coles, Woolworths, BigW, KMart and Bunnings. Woolworths and Coles deliver directly to MERVEILLE - please order via their websites.
Merveille is a five-minute drive to Ice-skating, the three sisters, the scenic railway, horse riding near Blackheath and don't forget the stunning Zig Zag railway at Clarence! There are gorgeous lookouts and bushwalking tracks from the front gate.
We offer a renowned, professional on-site chef for dinners, lunches or breakfasts, depending on his availability and at least a fortnight's notice is required. He brings everything needed with him so please contact us for pricing and bookings.
