Eimy, our awesome caretaker, also has a small cottage on the same property tucked away behind the main house. We mostly use this for storage, but this is unavailable for guests.
Water is always an issue on an island like Taboga, but we do have tanks on our property! Please ensure you are super conscious of water usage and help us maintain our levels.
Guest Access:
Mi casa es su casa!
While you are in Casa Rosie, we want you to feel at home and you will have access to all open areas! There is one small room opposite the kitchen that is kept locked with a few personal items, but everything else is yours to explore.
Interaction with guests:
Our fabulous caretaker, Eimy, will meet you at the ferry dock and show you around the villa.
She is also on hand for any issues, but once you are settled in, she’ll give you total privacy.
Eimy can also be hired for additional cleaning, child care, and pet sitting duties! Please ask for extra details.
Other Details:
We love fun and want you to have loads of it in Casa Rosie, but please keep parties and noisy events to a minimum.
Casa Rosie is a smoke friendly household, but please keep all smoking outside on the terrace and use the ashtrays provided.
We are eco-friendly people so please keep AC use to a minimum. The house benefits from natural ventilation through the day with windows and doors open. If you do use the ac, please close doors and windows in that space and please turn AC off completely before leaving the house.
We know animals are part of the family and Casa Rosie is definitely animal friendly! However, please note that any damages from animal (or human) behavior will be charged.
Water in Panama generally is always an issue, but on our little island, we have to be even more water conscious! Please keep showers to a minimum and be super careful when washing dishes etc.
Remember to bring all your food and drink from the city! Shopping options are limited on Taboga although we do have excellent restaurants if you don’t want to cook. We provide plenty of bottled water to drink.
Please remember that Casa Rosie is a home and not a hotel and treat it accordingly. Eimy is always on hand for any problems as are the rest of the team via whatsapp.
We try to be as flexible as possible with check in and check out times, but need to take care of all guests - please contact us with your schedule and we will do our best to accommodate you!
Neighborhood Description:
Isla Taboga is known as the island of flowers with rich, volcanic soil, and gorgeous beaches. It is a very popular destination for people from all over the world as well as residents of Panama city. Located just 30 minutes ferry ride from the city, you will feel like you are in a different world and never want to leave!
The neighborhood is colorful and vibrant with plenty to see and do and, as it is a small island with very few cars, everything is very close! You can explore the historic naval bases and lush jungle on guided tours, or visit the beach and kayak, snorkel, swim, or simply grab a good book and chill!
Even though we’re a small island, we have some fantastic eating spots! Villa Caprichosa is one of our absolute faves and just a short buggy ride away - a world class experience with stunning views. The kiosks along the promenade also serve excellent, traditional food for a laid back eating experience.
Getting Around
It is a walking island (almost no cars allowed) so do bring good walking shoes! Although our wonderful Eimy is also on hand to drive you in our golf buggy if needed.
To get to the island, most people use either Taboga Express ferry or Calypso ferry. Please check their websites for details and prices. We also have some private water taxis that can bring you to the island if the regular schedule doesn’t fit with you. Please message for more details.
