PERSONAL TOUCH
The name Alpenglow Aerie pays homage to the mesmerizing evening alpenglow, the elevated bluff upon which the house rests, and the owner's storied past as an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter pilot. Each aspect of this home invites you to embrace the majesty of Tahoe's natural beauty and create unforgettable memories.

Spend time on the dual level outdoor deck providing a private, relaxing space to breathe in the fresh mountain air and take in the unbelievable panoramic view of Lake Tahoe.
A word about Air Conditioning:
While folks from Nor Cal will understand, most people new to Tahoe will be surprised to find that most homes do not have A/C. How could a home in 2022 not have A/C?? Good question, but this is Tahoe.. nature’s air conditioning turns on every day from about 5pm onwards (and in until 10AM). We suggest opening windows close to 10 or 11am, and leaving them open until bed time. Even on warm summer days, the breeze from the lake and mountains will not only fill the home with the sweetest smelling fresh air, but will cool off the house quickly by dinner time.
You have full and total access of our home during your stay. Feel free to stream any of your subscriptions on our Smart TV, make a home cooked meal for your family in our fully stocked chef's kitchen, or jump in your car and head out to the South Shore for shopping or an epic view on the Gondola at Heavenly.
If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP. Although there is not staff on site like a hotel, we do have our team in the area that can help.

One of the reasons you might be coming to the mountains is to escape the hustle and bustle of city living. That being said, the secluded nature of Alpenglow Aerie means that you will be relying on your own private transportation to get from place to place. In the summer months just about any car will do, but you will definitely want a four wheel drive in the winter. Don’t rely on the standard car rental companies to make sure you get a quality car. Let our concierge book you a luxury vehicle that will be waiting for you curbside at the airport when you arrive. We can also arrange for a private shuttle bus for larger groups.
There is a keyless entry lock to the home which a code will be provided to you after you book with us.
You will have access to our digital guidebook and house manual so you can enjoy a stress free stay with us at the cabin.

Please Note: some items will be seasonally available due to weather constraints (e.g. deck furniture, grill, beach access, etc.). While we try to keep all amenities available as much as possible, we are not able to continue to offer outdoor amenities during the winter months.
Also note: county regulations restrict street parking during winter (usually Oct 1 - May 1) months to make way for snow plows, so please park in the garage or driveway only or your vehicle will be ticketed and/or towed. Summer street parking is permissible. Additionally, we kindly request no parking in front of the bear box designated for garbage disposal.
