I loved my stay. The property is wonderful and clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, helpful and focused on service. Jason gave us a great introduction to our room and an overview of the amenities. He is super knowledgeable and funny. Fantastic hotel and highly recommended.

This is my second visit to Kagaya Beitou, the first time was five years ago I’m very happy with the experience this time just like my first visit and the staffs took really good care with me and my family. Definitely will visit again!

Great place to stay after a long flight! Would highly recommend to treat yourself if coming from overseas. Use the public hotspring while waiting for your room to be ready. Save from flying business or first class and stay here instead for a fraction of the price.

The property is not exactly the newest, and the tatami floor boards had a smell to it, but any shortcomings are more than compensated by the level of service they provide. Staff are very humble and helpful, and is considerate. The hotel also has events to entertain customers during the day, which make the stay more fulfilling.

Beautiful traditional Japanese style hotel with helpful multilingual staff. Delicious buffet breakfast with mostly authentic Japanese dishes although they did try to cater to Western tastes. Shuttle service to the station was very useful. Hot spring was onsite but no swimsuits allowed but no one mentioned it, no written instructions and so I got yelled at! Another disappointment which we didn’t realise was that the restaurant was closed so there wasn’t anything to eat all day when we got there. But apart from that I would recommend this place if you want the traditional Japanese experience (including sleeping on futon and dressing in Japanese kimono) without going to Japan. There’s also lovely Japanese gardens and interesting museum nearby about the history of the local hot springs.

I stayed in Kagaya for 2 nights. These 2 nights are certainly the highlight of my Taiwan trip. The staffs are so friendly and the room is very comfortable. I enjoyed the Onsen in my room and the view is phenomenal. I also tried the public Onsen and I actually liked it better than the one in my room. Dinner and massage service is highly recommended, but there are many good and cheaper options outside the hotel as well. Overall 10 out of 10 experience

I have been stayed in this hotel many times before. This time, The toilet was clean but has some bad smell. the living room has some smell as well. The whole suite was clean but just has some smell. Service was excellent. Food in the restaurant quality still keeping their stsndard..

Beautiful Japanese onsen experience

This is such a luxurious place to stay if you love the Japanese tatami room experience! Even though the hotel is right in the middle of Beitou, right next to the lovely Beitou Park, they do a magnificent job of making you feel you're in the middle of a forest somewhere, far from the city, when you're indoors. I loved having a soaking tub in my room as well as access to the beautiful public footbath (my favorite!) and gorgeous bathing areas, which are up high enough so that all you see out of the window are the tree tops. And the food! The summer kaiseki dinner was delicately flavored with light floral notes (and plenty of flowers as decoration), while the breakfast buffet was so good that I think I went back about six times! The Kagaya is a serene Japanese oasis right in the middle of greater Taipei - I hope to stay there again many times in the future.

Room is very cozy, well equipped and maintained. Courteous staff make the entire stay a super pleasant experience. In room warm spring tub and the shower is well designed for easy access, with adequate instructions and safety features. Breakfast buffet is definitely one of the best, strongly recommended to add the breakfast when book rooms. Last, but not the least, the gift shop offers some top quality artworks from Japan. You might want to stop by.

Breakfast service was the worst I ever experienced all 80 percent of food was empty and ran out and staff did not do thwir jobs tp make sure food did not run out. Horrible service for over priced stay. Ruin my vacation. Upper management needs to address and fix this problem or else no one will want to stay at this hotel.
