"This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). "Incredible to find this kind of Inn on an almost deserted island. The view from my room was spectacular. I could see 12 islands changing colors as time goes by. The best part was the dinner consisting mainly of quite a few bite size appetizers that reminds me of mediterranean cuisines. The course concluded with octopus rice. The dessert was panna cotta.
