"We had an amazing time staying at Il Mare Surfhotel Wacasa. We were greeted by the owner who immediately sat us down on the patio overlooking the water and brought us peach sodas and our choice of popsicles! He took pictures of us enjoying the view and when we were ready to check into our room we came inside. Our room was INCREDIBLE! "Taka San was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was super traditional and very spacious and there was a lot of space in the house for group dining a nice garage space to hang out as well. The guesthouse is in a very beautiful and scenic area. I would highly recommend Taka San and his guesthouse to anybody looking to visit the area."

"Very relaxed stay. Short walk from station or book a taxi for a small fee if you have luggage. Ruriko-in temple and Mt Hiei cable car station is very close with lots of hiking and walking trails.
