Hotel was well clean and close to a 7/11 and restaurants. The front desk lady spoke Spanish which made it easy for me to communicate with since I don’t know Japanese. She was amazing and very helpful. 5 star to her too

The hotel os modern but the bedroom furniture was tired. Room a generous size. Used the roof top onsen indoors and outdoor but the ladies side the glass is opaque so no view. Pjs are outdated and very warm after a hot bath. Great location and loads of parking. Easy walk into town or the station

This hotel was perfect for our 3-night stay in Takayama: Great location (easy walk from the train and bus stations, close to all the beautiful areas of Takayama, but very peaceful inside) and welcoming and considerate staff. Great central hotel with top floor onsen baths
Spa Hotel Alpina Hidatakayama is a centrally located, well appointed hotel within central Takyama, close to the stations, the old town and a myriad of temples, shrines and cemeteries. Staff were helpful, kind and accommodating. The top floor baths were a real treat after a long day. The breakfast buffet, at 1600 yen per person, was pretty much what you'd expect, a little uninspired but convenient.
