"Nice container type accommodation just beside the sea. Facilities are pretty new and good working condition.
Full view of the Crab claw from the bedroom.
Surrounding is quiet and peaceful. My family enjoyed our stay there."
"The included dinner and breakfast was very good. The buffet dinner had alot of choices and so did the breakfast. The location of the hotel is ideal for the Sounkyo Waterfall Ice Festival which is only a 10minute walk from the hotel. We also liked the hotel shuttle bus provided from Sapporo, very convenient."
"Our family stayed over for a night at the hotel to visit Daisetsuzan. Hotel is very close to the cable car in small town of Sounkyo. We were there at off-season so it was quiet.
Hotel is bit old but its a nice experience to stay in traditional Japanese accommodation. Rooms and tatami mattress were fine and fits in 4 people (albeit bit tight). Onsen was a good experience to have thats built in the hotel that we all enjoyed. Other facilities appears old and breakfast was average.

"Dated hotel, as are all the hotels in the area, but very well maintained. Staff were all superb and the food service was very efficient and tasty. Not Michelin starred, but neither is the cost. "

"Wonderful accomodation with enough room for 6 people (1 double bed, 1 single, 3 futons).
Loved the privacy and view of the mountains over the snow-filled rice fields.
Check in was easy with english speaking staff via a touch pad when arriving.
There is a farmer's market on the way to Asahikawa with fresh local produce.
Internet is fast (approx 10 MB/sec). Excellent water pressure.
There is paid laundry facilities in a separate building.
Parking is outside and the driveway is cleared by staff. The garage is for use as storage, not for parking the car. But you can park right up to your front door.
A minor issue is no knives in the cutlery (a cooking knife is supplied). I discovered using a spoon to cut sausages at breakfast can be explosive as the juices burst out everywhere from the blunt pressure."

"The mixed gender outdoor hot spring with swim wear provided was excellent. Our room had a mini zen garden inside, and we fell asleep to the sound of the river behind the hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets provided ample options, including a make your own hotpot for one. A great place to relax and spend the night after exploring Kurodake ropeway and the surrounding portion of Daisetsuzan National Park."
