For anyone who has not heard about Puy du Fou, an hours drive away, it is spectacular...you may need 2 days there and do not miss the Roman Le Signe du Triomphe, with its lions leopard and tiger roaming the arena."

"Lovely place for a family holiday, although bit of a squeeze for 10. Up to date kitchen diner but a lack of lounge area, particularly for a large family. First floor bedrooms are accessed via the old turret - not suitable for the infirm, although the ground floor bedroom makes a great 'granny annexe'. Lovely pool but very little shade. "Lovely newly renovated villa in a great location. It is very well equipped with one important omission. There is no provision for rubbish disposal. It seems that the expectation is for guests to place their rubbish in the private bins of a nearby campsite. It transpired that the campsite owners were not privy to this arrangement and we’re not best pleased when I tried to put my bag of rubbish in their bins. At the end of our stay, the agent tried to tell me that we had to take our rubbish away...

Camping sympa pleins d'activités sont proposées, le mobil home conforme à la description, juste la terrasse manqué de soleil mais ce n'est qu'un detail. Commerce a proximite 3 mins et les sables d'olonne a 30 mins . Nous re commendons l'endroit sans hésité."

Lovely and peaceful

"We have stayed at this property twice, lovely, clean,modern and a great host. The house is attached to the owners home which is surrounded by a lovely large garden. There is a double bed upstairs which is a mezzanine. Downstairs has everything you need plus a double sofa bed. We were there for 3 wks and loved being there. Close to Talmont and short drive to beach. "

Pleasant overall, needs air con and improvements

"We enjoyed our stay overall. The place was clean and quiet at night, the swimming pools were good. The accom was clean and facilities provided were good (incl cleaning kit). Good car parking available and a pleasant stroll to the Port through the golf course and lake. However, there are several important areas requiring improvement: - Air conditioning does not exist. We had to leave the door and windows fully open at night which is unfair. While air con may be expensive to install, P&V should provide silent fans for the bedrooms and living area. - Our accommodation (2 bed apartment) was located at the golf club. P&V tried to contact us on the day of arrival to advise but we were travelling and did not receive that notification. Reception was closed for lunch when we arrived. The directions provided were unclear. This caused us a lot of unnecessary hassle when we arrived which could have been prevented. - Requests for an early check-in should be accommodated (for no additional cost) during low season. Occupancy was low where we were staying. - Wifi access did not work (at Bourgenay golf club where we were staying). - The water slide should be operating at the end of June. - The kids play area needs major modernisation. The crazy golf is dated and the playground isn't fit for purpose. - The exterior common areas of the P&V Bourgenay accommodation would benefit from a lick of paint - alot of peeling paint on corridors."
