"So close to earning the fifth star. Just little things like better quality toiletries (add conditioner & body lotion). Have towels available at the pool across the street, provide drinking water at the pools, our dresser tops in the room were never cleaned (I cleaned the rings from glasses!). "

"Hotel was nice with a great view. They were transitioning the restaurant and bar service but the service with the new company seemed better just ironing out some new start details. Staff was kind and helpful. The shuttle to town was great and reliable. Not the hotels fault but be prepared for the large flying grasshoppers that come out and attach at night. Was a bit scary at the restaurant and getting to the room because they fly right at you. They are harmless but quite large"

"It as laid out very well and easy to find things. The house band was awesome and super friendly. The lack of English was surprising and the shows at night were almost entirely in Spanish. We would definitely recommend learning Spanish bf going. The beach is a surfing beach and rocky ( lava rock) not like the pitures. I fell and cut open both knees on a tour and the resort had alcohol , cotton and only little bandaides. My cuts were large so this was useless . I felt for a resort this was highly...

"The property is amazing and close to everything. The bungalows are super cute with great ambience. Staff is so friendly and helpful. We had the best time here. The food and drinks at the beach club are awesome. Highly recommend it to anyone coming to Tamarindo. "

"Our stay at Hotel La Palapa from the minute we arrived to the time we left was amazing. The location was central to Tamarindo and walkable to restaurants, shops & stores for groceries. The staff was so accommodating and friendly and made you feel so welcome. The restaurant and drinks were wonderful. Oh and the sunsets were beautiful! "
