Care Giver/Medical Visit
The property is in good shape and in order, with all the amenities expected. I rented this place due to it's proximity to Moffitt Cancer Center because my sister was receiving long term treatment that required her to be within close proximity. PROBLEMS: The sink and bathtub were clogged to the point that water would not drain properly; took care of it by purchasing a drain weasel at Walmart and unclogged both drains. Upon arrival, the floors were dirty/dusty as evidenced by dirty bare feet; I swept, vacuumed and mopped the entire house. The linens on the bed were dusty to the point that you could actually see the dust flowing in the air when you moved the bed sheets/bed spread; I removed all linens from the beds used,(2) and washed them. The window blinds in one of the rooms came completely apart when they were being raised because the window had to be cleaned due to it being very dusty; I went to Home Depot, purchased the exact mini blind and installed it. I left the the old one in the house. I initiated a claim and sent the receipt and pictures to Vacasa and the property manager for reimbursement of the blind; have not heard anything as of yet. HVAC NOT WORKING FROM THE 8TH TO THE 16TH. We suffered with the cold weather. Called (twice) on the 14th, had to follow-up; property manager sent tech on the 16th and it was repaired. I realize that some of these issues could have been taken care of by Vacasa, however I needed to act quickly because I was not going to put further stress on my sister which needed to rest undisturbed in a clean comfortable environment, which is why I took care of some of the issues myself. Besides, these issues were not suppose to happen. Please take note of this review and act upon it accordingly. Rest assured I will seek partial reimbursement. Thank you.
