"Very nice and very quiet chalet on a deserted beach. The location is literally on the beach. Ideal if you want tranquility. Just the sound of the waves! Our host was excellent and helped us with information we needed. There is a good restaurant next door and the Waves will provide good dinners at reasonable cost if you give them warning (as everything is freshly cooked). "

"We were really impressed with the location, and it comes with 3 dogs (which is always s plus!). Sadly, a few things marred the experience. Hot water is rather non existent. You get warm water after running the shower for a long time, which is a terrible waste. The dogs are left out at night and they can bark extensively and no one seems to care. The main gate to the property is left open which doesn't seem to be very safe. I guess the dogs are there for this reason, but then when the dogs kept barking no one went to check if there were intruders... There are no coffee facilities in the room, nor telly. This may not be s big thing, but worth noting. Finally, Renata, the owner, is a very nice lady but quick at upselling you anything. A second cup of coffee at breakfast? Charge. A healthy shot? Charge. The most annoying thing was that I was unwell one day and asked for some hot water. Renata insisted I had to take some herbs that were going to be good for me. I declined but to no avail. I accepted it. At check out, we got charged!! What sounded like a kind gesture was a way to get money out of us. Cost recovery? At €2, it seems pure profiteering. Sorry, not the boutique retreat experience we expected."

"Beautiful and special property. Outstanding customer service. Lots of low key and interesting activities. Great pool and gorgeous beach. The food could have been better and more fairly priced, but the staff was attentive to our concerns. "

"The property is located right by a pretty, unspoilt beach with wonderful sea views from the first floor balcony off the master bedroom. The coconut trees provide plenty of shade from the hot sun and the pool is large and very clean. The gym and massage room are a great addition. The team of 4 staff keep the house and garden spotless and Pradeep and Tharaka were a great help to us while we were there. Renu provided tasty meals as required. The kitchen is small with a 2 gas ring hob (no microwave or oven).There are lots of restaurants in walking distance from the villa. The sea is very rough in front of the villa but it is possible to swim behind the breakwater about 5 mins walk along the beach or in a sheltered bay a short tuktuk drive away.. Kayaking in the mangrove lagoon behind the villa is a fun experience. Well located for sightseeing or pure relaxation. We spent a fabulous 5 weeks there doing a bit of everything."

"Very relaxing stay next to the lagoon but also an easy walk to the beach. Only one restaurant was open aged that was on the beach so a bit of a trek when it rained. My room looked out on to a corridor which wasn’t ideal and the sealant around bathroom fittings was black with mildew. But largely these are minor details to a comfortable and relaxing stay at a fair price."
