"Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bondalem Beach Club. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to make sure my stay was a joy. So much so, they climbed a tree to get me a fresh coconut. The rooms are spacious, welcoming and beautiful. The pools are spectacular. The sunrises/sunsets from my room’s patio were a dream. I highly recommend BBC if you need a quiet, beautiful and relaxing getaway. "

"Summary We'd recommend the Bamboo house for one night specifically to the do the hike only. Go for the cheapest room. We booked two nights at the bamboo house, via Hotels.com, with the idea of hiking Mount Batur. Presumably like many other people visiting the area. We booked the king size deluxe room, the one with the triangular bamboo ceiling/roof, which was twice the price of a standard room. When we arrived we were shown to a standard room. "The location is awesome. The facilities are just ok. The bed was a mattress on the floor, and no chair in the room at all. I put the toilet seat cover down to sit on it, and it broke. The manager/owner attempted to charge me RP500,000 for the toilet seat. I bought a new one and gave it to him, and my cost was RP85,000."

"Very friendly helpful staff. The grounds and casitas are nice and the views of the lake and volcano are really nice. Of course, the flies are incessant in the morning. "If you are searching for total isolation, this villa is right up your alley. There are no taxi services and no restaurants other than the villa’s which has limited meal options. The villa is located in a farming and very poor part of Bali. The flies are constant which makes sitting outside uncomfortable. For meals, we ate in our room so as to elude them. We had three nights booked but only stayed for two."
