The location is around shopping center and lots of restaurants. Local transportation is convinced to almost every where. Furthermore, the breakfast is tremendous lovely to who love local food. Recommended for both travelers and business man to stay.

Good old hotel which is near the Chang Gan Hospital and Airport MRT station, and many restaurants and shops. The facilities are dated. Particularly the bathroom shower head really should be replaced. Friendly staff and nice breakfast.

The location is super convenient with public transit hub, shopping, and food within walking distance. The property is old but well maintained. My only complaint is the shower head produces very weak and extremely thin stream of water that's almost like mist. The water quantity is so little that its temperature drops so much traveling from the shower head to my body. I had to use my hand to hold the shower head very close to my body if I want the water to remain decently warm. The included breakfast is awesome with great food and services!

Overall, this hotel meets the standard of 3.5-4 stars. However, I was not impressed about the check-in process. First of, I did confirm with a hotel staff if it was possible to do early check-in since my flight arrived in Taipei in the early morning, and I was advised that there was an addiaitonal charge for this, and this was acceptable and understandable. However, I did not do early check in as it was 2 hours prior Hotel Policy's check in time (check in time 1500hr local time). After wandering around, once it reached 1500hr, the room was not yet ready for check-in, and I was kept waiting till 1530hr at the hotel's lobby (extended-30-minute-wait was not noce to guests). This issue is probably related to Room Operation Management. If they can fix this, the rest would be perfect.

A taxi from the airport was 740.00 NT or about $33.00 Canadian and it took 30-40 mins. The staff’s English was not very good but thank you for Google Translate. The staff and I communicated through technology and they were as helpful as they could be, they did try to help me. It is a two star hotel. I found the property run down. The safe’s batteries were dead. When I tried to use the safes in the lobby, every safe that was not locked had dead batteries. The contact points in the battery holders where corroded, leading to poor connections and early battery drain. This is primarily due to the high humidity. Staff sent a brand new working safe to my room. The sheer draped were in shreds. The room did not have any electrical outlets at the bedside, the lamps where hardwired in to the wall. I needed to use my CPAP battery at nights. The hotel has posted signs that they do not provide amenities like tooth brushes, tooth paste, razors, shaving cream or shampoo. Plan accordingly. They provide a buffet breakfast. It is a 12 min walk to the MTR station A9, Linkou, then 3 stops to TPE, Terminal 1 (A12). I spend 0.60 NT or about $0.24 Canadian on the fare and it took about 45-50 mins. Overall the place was clean enough and the bed was comfortable enough and I felt safe in the hotel. I do not think they have a lot of Western guests. Great shopping near the MTR station.

Old soldier, still soldiering on.

No bones about it, this is an old property. But despite this, the room was comfortable, the shower refreshing, and the stay pleasant . It's further from the metro stops than I expected, but it's an easy walk.

An outdated hotel that would have seen its heyday decades ago. The facilities are worn down and the amenities are basic. This is the second time staying here. The only reason for me is that it is close to where my family lives. Otherwise, I would recommend staying at a nicer hotel if you’re able.

An older hotel, but had all the basics. A fine place to stay if you wish to be in Linkou, but there are more convenient places to stay closer to the metro. It is right across the street from a bus stop though.
