"After booking I received an email stating that I needed to check I by 17:30 otherwise there was an extra 20€ charge. I specifically made sure I was booking a room with a microwave, but when checking in the receptionist said twin rooms don't have kitchen, I had to show her the description on hotels.com staying a kitchennete and she was able to give me a 1 bed apartment, as I needed somewhere to cook my food. There is not a freezer as described. The attachment to hold the shower head was broken...

"This was a family event/vacation for eleven people ranging in age from 3 to 77 from different places in Europe and North America. The lovely villa was ideal with pools and beach nearby. It was beautifully equipped with everything for meals and games, etc for children. Our host, Nanette could not have been more helpful or gracious. "

"Tolle Lage fast direkt am Strand, Meerblick inklusive. Schöne helle Wohnung mit allem was man braucht. Sauberes neues Bad! Pool war auch sauber und eine tolle Alternative zum Strand. "Nice little house, if a bit dated. It was in a good quiet area for us and an easy walk to the beach (important if you are lugging kitesurf gear about). We said there were 4 of us, property said it was for 4, yet only the double and one single bed were made up when we arrived. The trundle bed in the 2nd bedroom meant that it was difficult to move about. "We head a beautiful time in Andalusia, the house is large for up to 6 people. You have a great view on the Atlantic and it is quit there. You see the eagles flying above your house cause it is in a nature reserve or near to it. Those who love stillness and a 10min way (by car) to the great beach are here absolutely welcome. The Family near us gave us fresh tomatoes out of their garden. You will love it :-)"

"Very cool architecture and decor, the dining atrium with vertical garden is a little oasis. Delicious breakfast and kind and patient staff. Maria is a goddess who floats through the hotel anticipating your every need with grace and efficiency and impeccable English. For those that want to relive their youth hostel experience but need the finer things will find this fits the bill!"

"We had the soaker with a loft. The stairs up to the loft were a bit steep and there wasn’t much room besides the bed but it was comfortable. The AC worked well. It was a 4-5 min walk from the public parking. Several dining options right outside the apartment. We only stayed one night and then took the ferry to Tangier."

"Nice resort style hotel. Excellent pool. Close to zahara. Decent gym. Breakfast great. A couple of annoying things: 1. Parking cost 20 euro per day. This is a lot in my opinion. Plenty of parking options just outside of the hotel. No one mentioned the cost of parking to us on arrival. 2. Costs of drinks at the bar. A tiny bottle of water and a soft drink was 7.40. Feels expensive. The have “special” beds around the pool that are almost always empty yet they are taking a lot of prime space. Personally I am not a big fan of dividing hotel guests into different classes when all staying in the same hotel. But for some this might be a plus. Those are small things. Overall the hotel is lovely and rooms are decent size and the facilities are very good "

"I would highly recommend Hotel Convento Tarifa. It was recommend to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt very welcome. Lulu was so nice and helpful with recommending places to see and where to eat depending on our likes. The room was very clean and comfy. Very close to the ferry to Morocco and the beach."
